What the club says: A rolling countryside bordered by a host of mature pines help set the perfect scene for this course which was designed by the legendary Donald Steel. Nestled in the heart of the Garden of England, the course uses all the natural features to make it a most enticing venue. As for the golf itself, the fairways are long and narrow and each of the 18 holes exhibits its own personality. Sometimes they are friendly, sometimes the opposite, but they can never be taken for granted, by even the most capable of golfers! The deceptive 7th hole is technically considered the easiest but beware, you'll need pinpoint accuracy to avoid the steep drop off on three sides of the green.

Very enjoyable!!!
Scorching hot day, but great to get out and play after 17 weeks out!The course is a but dry on the fairways, but the greens are lovely!!!!
Shame that the range only goes to around 200yds as can only hit irons, but this didn’t detract from the enjoyment of the round!

Good test
Even though the course is not long off the yellow tees, with no par 4s over 400 yards, it is still a good test. It's undulating nature makes you think about club selection but you may also get a few dodgy bounces towards the multitude of trees. Greens were true, fairly quick and some subtle breaks.Reviewer Rating

Nice straight forward course. Typical Hotel/Society course
As with most courses at the moment, greens are fairly slow and a little lumpy. Too many unmanaged pitch marks. Rest of course in good condition but bunkers need to be evened out at beginning of day. Too many "flat" spots, i.e. no sand as not raked properly.Reviewer Rating

Good course. Shame about 4 ball rule.
Course in good condition and the greens were still a decent pace. Only gripe is that when we arrived at the starters hut expecting to play as a 2 Ball we were told that it is a 4 ball course.as there was a single player in front we started as a 4 ball then split up as the 2 others were lower handicappers. That way no one was impacted. Needs greater communication on the websiteReviewer Rating
