What the club says: Kings Hill Golf Club was founded in 1995 on an area of open heathland and woodland on the rolling slopes of the lower greensand ridge in central Kent and has since matured into a testing inland links. The course architect, David Williams, made excellent use of the natural features and gently undulating topography to create a course that has quickly established itself as one of the best golfing challenges in Kent.

At the 16th you could tell what was the tee and what was the farway!
Buggies are £40 a go, not even got satnav!
Won't be returning here I think.

We had a 2 Ball & Buggy deal @ ?75 which is good value for money, especially for Kings Hill - we Tee'd off on the first and then the buggy broke down, The Pro shop swapped it out straight away, but then only to find my ball had been picked up by another golfer ...1st impression of Kings Hill not good.Reviewer Rating

1st round
As a new member I played my 1st round here and found the course to be in great condition. No mud on shoes after the round, 1st time since before Christmas anywhere.Greens had been tined and sanded but this didn't affect the round too much and it is a necessary action.
Looking forward to meeting the other members.

Been far too long
Played this course back in Sept 2002. Steve H's only victory. Has matured a lot since then. In very good nick with some interesting greens. Very true but messed it up with 3 3-putts at the end. 2 defo silly mistakes and last, the ball just would not roll after hitting green from 90 yds and rolling @ 48ft away! Must come back to this course and owe Dave S and Les D a drink or two.Reviewer Rating

Beautiful setting but Harsh
This course looks great, beautifully laid out and maintained from tee to green. If you go just 6 feet off the fairway you are in the jungle - difficult to get out, more difficult to even find your ball. For the average golfer, this set-up is is past the point of enjoyable. If you are not straight every time, you have been warned - until they cut the rough.Reviewer Rating

Inconsiderate 4 ball ruins day
Firstly for kings hill to be open where every other course was shut for wet conditions is a testament to the construction of the greens, which were reasonably firm, although recently cored and sanded. The course itself ( or what I saw of it) was strategic, undulating and interesting.Unfortunately a 4 ball that had been instructed by pro shop staff (who were welcoming themselves) on the first tee to let myself and another single through did not oblige and so after waiting on nearly every shot for 2 hours I left the course after the 7th hole. This is a somewhat archaic attitude for 2023

Worth a visit
Late start due to fog but the course in good condition. Green hard and surprisingly fast, but in good condition. Bunkers well maintained and with sand, and in all the wrong (right!) places. Great staff in pro shop and club house.Reviewer Rating

a bit fiddly course
I was disappointed with the condition of the greens this time as they had been spiked and sanded. A challenging course with strategically placed bunker both on the fairways and round the greens.I would like to play the course when it is greener in the autumn and the greens are in better condition.

PUT IT ON YOUR LIST
The course was in great condition, despite the recent rains. Greens had been hollowtined recently, but still rolled quite true - will get faster once the last of the sand is gone. A good test of golf for all levels.Reviewer Rating

The course is well drained allowing play all year, grass is long in the rough making trying to find the ball in wayward shots difficult, the back nine is more testing than the front.(Round played: Jul 2021 - Score: 102 Handicap: 23.3)

Good All round
Nice spacious parkland course but beware of straying from the fairways as the rough varies from a couple of inches to a couple of feet tall!!Plenty of tactical bunker placements requiring consideration before you just smash one off the tee. Very little water to worry about.

In need of some love
This is a good course, well designed and pleasing mixture of holes in a quasi-links fashion. However, the years have not been kind and a lack of investment is clearly apparent as the course is looking pretty rough. It would be nice to see some definition to the fairways and a general maintenance of the place. And for a small amount of money you could install a shoe brush and air pressure washer to remove the mud. It's a real shame seeing the place look so tired and at a costly rate.Reviewer Rating

Avoid
Heard so much about Kings Hill golf course so myself an two friends decided to throw caution to the wind and pay the expensive green fees (£46.00) compared to nearby courses and go play. Where do I start. We went to the range after purchasing 3 buckets of balls (if we got 20 each we were lucky). Off to the first tee, tee boxes are shocking, uneven, large divots in the marked boxes. Fairways are what I’d expect fro a rundown pay and play course, again divots all over not looked like they are or have ever been filled and every where there is tufts of different grass growing. We had to play preferred lye on most shots around the course. Then the greens which I have to say were fast given the time of year BUT a lot had bald patches, divots that had not been repaired and very uneven. Then back to the club house for a drink and a bite to eat late afternoon, NO FOOD, expensive drink and a welcome like the North Sea, we walked out.Reviewer Rating
