mytime disaster course

It's such a shame that the manager of this course has let the greens go to pot...
They have not sprayed the greens with a fungisid and consequently the greens have been covered with dollar spots.
I only hope that the next managers of this lovely course take appropriate steps to bring the greens back to their original condition.

Very poor, course gone to the wall!

Terrible condition, do not recommend! Last played here 3/4 years ago and new ownership has deteriorated the course drastically, 'bunkers' are a joke and look more like sand/stone flower beds

What a shame

Played Cobtree on Saturday 30.5.20 and was extremely disappointed, haven’t played the course for a while but always thought it was a well maintained course , however the course at present is in extremely poor condition - no real 1st cut of rough - the rough is unbelievable, knee high in some places, the tee boxes are not cut and are scruffy and their are excavations all over the course . Please sort this course out and get it back to its previous state .

Very Poor

I have played at Cobtree on and off for over 30 years, but this last visit will be 'my last' unless massive improvements are put in place, Tee boxes were overgrown, light rough was overgrown and off the fairway it was easy to loose a ball. The actual rough was very overgrown and their was a lot of excavation work on many holes that was not mentioned when booking. Bins were not available so rubbish was all over the course. I have played 5 other courses in the past 2 weeks and all were far better that Cobtree, so Covid can't be an excuse.

Shame this was a really nice little course, but I'd advise you to stay away until the owners take a lot more interest in getting it back to a reasonable state.

Played yesterday and the course was wet and like a cattle trod around the tee boxs today it was very slippy ,bunkers full of water and grass standing in water and very muddy in places realistically the course should be closed to preserve its condition but mytime golf seems more interested in making as much money as it can without thinking about what conditions golfers are playing in while paying premium prices for a round especially off temporary tees !

Another poor Mytime course

Deep rough just off the fairway and under all of the trees, you will lose many balls.
Bunkers never raked and varying amounts of sand.
Very slow play on weekends 4.5-5 hour rounds.
No marshal on the course to improve slow play.
Greens and fairways average.
Poorly stocked Pro shop.
Tiny poor condition practice range half a mile walk from club house.

Take my advice and avoid this and all other Mytime golf courses in Kent that have the same problems, they simply do not invest enough back into the maintenance of their courses. There are many other quality options available for the same price in the Kent area.

Too many winter tees where you can't even get a tee in them. The course is being demolished soon for redevelopment and changing to 9 holes, so why so many temporary tees. I only play as my mate in a member, generally the course is good I think it's just the time of year.

Points I would like to raise as problems with our round (we were a 3 ball and paid about £90 approx.)

Tee off time was 7:38am

Etiquette of the course,
i. Players must play without delay, only 5 minutes must be allowed to find a lost ball and a match losing one clear hole must allow the following match to play through.
ii. Divots must be replaced, pitch marks repaired on greens and bunkers must be raked.

i response:-

1. We were approached on the 10th tee by an older gentlemen with grey hair and high visibility jacket (yellow) on, he made an unnecessary passing comment about slow play.
2. The 4 ball in front of us being 300 yards in front, I highlighted it was not a safe distance with our driving capabilities and the 3 ball behind us were still on the previous green.

ii response:-

1. The condition of the course was the worst I have seen it for the given time of year.
2. There were patches of mud and divots all over the greens on multiple holes (please see evidence attached)
3. The winter mats were the biggest problem with very seldom places to actually put your tee in the provided area (please see evidence attached)
4. The winter mats were covered in stones, a brush could have been a solution, instead spent a long while not trying to damage our drivers any further than had already happened (please see evidence attached)

Additional Points

1. Now I appreciate there are winter mats in play but there were no yardage signs to indicate how far this had adjusted the distance of the hole by.
2. Your yardage signs are actually wrong at present, they are stating there are only white and red tees, yet there are yellow and blue tee indicators in the ground? (please see attached evidence- you even have 2 white tees indicated on your new signs, see secondary e-mail evidence)
3. Other players were complaining and cursing at the condition of the course and when I went into obtain details and raise the issue was told people had been commenting on how good the course was for this time of year, really (please see evidence of condition of course)
4. Our drivers are now damaged due to the level of stones on the winter mats and the stones wedged in the broken tee holes, some stones are very fine and coarse making it hard to detect

Our experience of Cobtree has been good before, hence why we booked to play here, but we all feel angry and let down.
