Standard course fees are Â£100, which i'd never pay to play anwhere other than a top top course. My round here was a gift. If i were to put a fair green fee price on it i'd say Â£65-Â£70 would be much nearer the mark. We'll see how the course fares over the next couple of years and if they stick to the Â£100 mark or start giving some offers out. It is a lovely course, no question. We played after all the rain May '12, and before the sunshine, so some areas atleast between tee and fairway were suffering a bit. Rough is very unforgiving... think broken wrists if you overdo your escape. Greens very good but not exceptional at all which is surprising given how new this course is... i would have thought they'd go all out for top greens. Plenty of hills and therefore some blind holes but because you get course maps it's not really a problem. You do have to plot your way around some of the holes and chose your club carefully as the course is well laid out. We creamed a couple of drives on one of the holes (8 i think) which unusually has a split fairway. Fully expected to be sitting pretty but found ourselves to have been "too straight" and overran into rough! So on occasion, what you think is a great shot can leave you with a bad stance or even lie. First timers will definitely get a few surprises at some stage in their round.
All in all a really good course, lovely clubhouse, glad i played it, but overpriced for sure and until some deals get reeled out i won't be back. They seem to want to keep it exclusive in a time when golf is all about being inclusive... It's just not a good enough course, but we'll see where it goes.

Â£20 PP for winter open a little pricey. Thats prob why Only 7 teams entered. For better to have 22 teams at Â£50 per team I'd say. Course in great condition but greens hollow tinned. Â£20 a lot to be in winter for tinned greens. Bacon roll and coffee were delicious though.

Great venue, all about golf, love it!

This is a proper golf venue with a relaxed attitude. Colt Course is immaculate even in these wet times. The best greens I have played on in 2024 by far. Great layout, good bunkering and challenging greens. Would return in a heart beat. The clubhouse and accommodation amongst the best we stay in anywhere.

Father and son day out.

My grandson won us a free round for 2 at the filly course when we attended the liv tournament ( and a round for 1 at the colt) we attended today, 21 Feb, weather has been dreadful so we expected the course to be closed, but no, the course was open, playable, without mats, all greens open, most tees were temporary. As we arrived the rain stopped, and we virtually had it to ourselves ????Everything we saw was classy, from the clubhouse, staff, 19th hole, food and obviously the golf. It would be nice to play again in warmer weather, and also try out the colt course. A great day out, well worth the travelling up. Many thanks.

Nearly the full 10 out of 10

We have not been to CH for 4 years and we were glad to return and experience what we regard as the best accommodation we stay in anywhere, the nicest ambience, immaculate greens, well maintained Colt Course, the little touches everywhere which ooze class and the fact you usually see someone famous and realise how down to earth they are. The food is lovely and the staff are so helpful that you do feel special when you play here. The Filly Course was a bit fluffy on fairways and some very boggy holes which stopped me giving it a full 10 score.

Obahugs society weekend

Another visit to this exceptional venue.great courses.superb food and fantastic accommodation. Staff treat everyone as equals even tho celebrities are usually present.look forward to next time

I had a great time on my golfing trip playing both the Colt and Filly courses. Both courses provided a great challenge and were perfectly manicured. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this golfing trip to anyone looking for a fun and challenging experience.
