brilliant course condition .. even saw a bit of the wildlife - foxes and rabbits!! the decking at the back watching the players come in from the 18th was also spectacular. unfortunately, this all seemed ruined by a man I can only describe as the "mizuno"man as he was dressed head to toe in mizuno clothing. His attitude was a disgrace, arrogant and condescending. he asked me to show the display tag given which was already visible on my bag, seemed as though he wanted to show authority? Although the professional had already stated I had to show it in order to play. I played in the evening and was hoping for a nice stress free round of golf but instead this proved the opposite. I will not be playing their again thanks to the mizuno man.

The good bits first- The course is in decent nick, didn't encounter a bobbley green until the 14th.

The bad- Stuck up members who will report you if you top becomes 'untucked', had the green staff following around for roughly 13 holes with no stopping for you to take your shot, very rude, later found out that they were following us because they thought we hadn't paid (paid online and had proof on my phone). We'll come back to that later, my friends golf shoes had split so he had to wear trainers, which we saw at least 10 other players doing on the day, this got us thrown off on the 18th, with me putting for birdie, I had me phone out ready for proof as I saw the golf pro approaching (who was far from friendly when I booked in) he added that mobile phones aren't allowed on the course, what the hell it was only out to prove that I had paid, he also kept on going on that this was the friendliest club around, I have been to quite a few, by far the least friendly with inconsiderate green keepers, never again will I grace that snobby, horrible course. This has left a bad taste in my mouth, wouldn't recommend.

Lovely course

I really like this course but the greens were poor and the course generally looked a bit untidy.

Played the course today and I must say I\'ve seen it it much better condition. The greens were woolly carrot tops and sandy. Might have been the bad weather over the past week that stopped the greens staff from working. In saying that I never see the greens staff working?

A very tight and challenging course with an interesting variety of holes. Some of the course requires repair, especially across the longer holes due to damage by animals that was not attended to and poor drainage.

Fantastic staff in the bar, but the staff in the pro shop are extremely unhelpful. On the past 2 occasions I have visited, we have had to wait for approx. 45 mins at the tee. The first time, due to the fact that we were not given a tee-time, but advised that there shouldn't be much of a delay. On the second occasion, we were given a tee-time, but advised that the shop had not held this for us (against the instruction of the club secretary!) and that if we were in a rush, we should tell the 20 people ahead of us that we were to play ahead of them!!!

Finally, some of the members need to realise that they are representing their course and behave accordingly. Some very ill-mannered individuals who felt that they had a right to be ignorant as they had a member's badge on their bag. This experience had led me to decide that I won't be considering a membership myself!

Overall...nice course, but prepare for a wait...and please ignore the behaviour of some of the members

Difficult course!

very challenging course with tight fairways and lots of obstacles.
holes are very close together, sometimes tee-ing off over a green.
every green is surrounded by at least 3 big bunkers and hole 17 has a big tree in the middle of the line!

Rough around the edges

Had heard good things but was a little disappointed. Food was decent before and after but the course was a little shabby in places.
I understand that work had recently been done on the greens so nothing wrong with those but the tee beds weren't good and the bunkers some of the worse I've seen. Didn't look like they had been raked in a while and had piles of sand in some and none in other parts.

Pleasant welcome in the proshop. Course was in good condition, but pace of play was slow, poor with a society out and a 4 ball of beginners in front.
