Lovely little gem. Don't take your driver and make sure you have a clear head before you start.

Greens in great condition

Course is looking and playing great but driving range is just an oversized hitting net. Not worth buying range balls for and should have been told before purchasing. Asked for food after are round on a Friday at 5:30pm but kitchen was closed only had cakes for sale.

Course in great condition despite heavy rain. Had been told that it was a very tight track but found it very fair for my 18 handicap and breathtakingly picturesque on nearly every hole.

Golf day was switched to Chiltern Forest after Mentmore went into receivership. Course is hilly but very picturesque with slopes that can take a shot to the centre of the fairway into the rough or trees. so get so course knowledge from their video or yardage chart. Really challenging course with excellent and fast greens. Would definitely play again

This is a cracking course. If you want a nice stroll then this is definitely NOT for you. It has lots of challenging shots and several challenging hills. It's not very long but that didn't really matter.
The course was in excellent condition and the locals were friendly - although the restaurant closed at 4pm.

I loved it. What an interesting layout. From the 2nd hold onwards it springs surprises on you. Quite hilly. Very good greens, nice staff. I will definitively come again.

Beautiful views and some testing golf. Friendly members and staff. Very hilly, recommend a buggy! Greens under repair when I visited the only negative.

A great course, take time to enjoy the magnificent views. Its hilly, though, and an electric trolley is a must.

Totally disagree with the below, found the club one of the friendliest i've played (and i'm Northern). The course is in stunning surroundings and woodland. I saw buzzards and deer. The course is a mix of some really visually good looking holes and some less exciting holes, but still enjoyable. Greens are pretty good, feels a lot further than the 5,800 or so yards. Good exercise, countryside and a good course.

The first thing to say about playing golf here is make sure you get a buggy (unless you have a very good level of fitness). The back nine is mostly uphill and very energy sapping. Playing to net par on the front nine is not too much of a challenge but playing to net par on the back nine is very difficult. Disappointingly, only 4 (out of about 20) buggies were working so it would be worth calling ahead to book one. However, I would recommend you play this course as it is a real experience from the very easy 1st, to the crazy 8th, to the uphill slog at the end. A must play if you are in the area.
