Beautiful but slow
The course is beautiful, and really hard work. You never play a ball on the level. However, the play was really slow, and on a cold day we were freezing by the time we had finished.
At one point there were 3 groups waiting to tee off.
No marshalls to hurry things along.

Impressive
A picturesque gem within a forest setting. Immaculate greens and tidy tee boxes with manicured fairways. A vast array of differing holes, not typically found on other courses.Reviewer Rating

Picturesque course
A tight picturesque course and some lovely challenging holes that lure you in. Some hilly holes that look over the Aylesbury area.Reviewer Rating

A great hilly challenge
Really enjoyed the course & the challenges were so varied & so many different & interesting holes. Only small gripe is that the greens were slower than we had been playing elsewhere recently & more pitch marks which challenged true lines. But cant wait to come back especially in Summer & make a fairer judgement.(Round played: Feb 2022 - Score: 105 Handicap: )

Forest Gem
What a great find in Buckinghamshire! This is a lovely course cut into a forest in the Chiltern Hills, with some awesome views over the fields and town of Aston Clinton. It's challenging because it's tight, so your accuracy really has to be pretty good. There's a lot of hill walking involved up and down the valleys so bear in mind if you're not taking a buggy. Nice sand in bunkers and good running greens, some of the fairways could've been cut a little more. A pleasant welcome to the club and good practice facilities to get you going. Two bits of advice for others, 1. be aware that there are a lot of instructions to follow as many of the holes cross or are very close to one another, so you have to pay attention to the signs and signals as to when you are safe to play. Furthermore, if you are playing solo, I was told to start the 14th hole not from the tee box, but from the top of the hill as there was no one with me to stand at the viewing point to make sure I didn't hit anyone. 2. there can be quite a bit of blue chemical spray used on the course, so be mindful on the greens collecting your ball that your hands can turn blue!Reviewer Rating

Hidden gem in Chiltern Hills
This is a short, challenging and picturesque course. Being on chalk it is well drained, and it is wooded so you need to play straight. It is hilly, so you feel you've had a good walk at the end of a round. Buggies available, best to book in advance. Lovely clubhouse facilities, and very welcoming staff and members.Reviewer Rating
