Course generally in very good condition and a number or reasonably narrow tree-lined holes are a good test of driving. Lots of leaf litter in areas a bit of distraction. Friendly proshop staff, bar staff indifferent but the outdoor areas of the bar a good place for post-round beverage.

A challenging course because of the narrow fairways. There are loads of ditches to avoid too.

The course is getting better, the work being carried out is slowly working, with the fairways looking the best I have seen them, always a good challenge as many holes are tight from the tee.

The welcome was warm and facilities good. The staff were friendly. The weather was cloudy and windy and we did have some rain on the 17th but overall not too bad.
The issue with the course was the greens which had had drainage work done on them but they were very woolly and slow. This also made them very bumpy and unpredictable. This made scoring very hard. Shame as I think the course would be nice when the greens are sorted.

This is a quite pleasant course to play .. friendly reception and the winter twilight fee is very cheap indeed.
Members were commenting about the course being 'tight' but I've played on a LOT tighter courses that this (my home course too).
It was a real shame that the weather had been very unkind indeed to the course and it was totally water-logged when I played it. Many courses would have closed to save the course. The greens had been hollow tined and not rolled so putting was a bit of hop-skip and jump.
I'd like to come back and play this course under better weather conditions the next time I visit England. I've rated the course taking into account the weather ..
92 strokes - handicap 16.9 .. under the conditions not too unhappy.

Bulbury in the winter is not the easiest place to play as you have to be pretty straight to play here summer or winter, so on a chilly December day a low score was never on the cards. The course is in pretty good condition and the green keeping staff have been busy this year clearing out a lot of trees and bushes to give most of us a better chance of a decent score, so its well worth a visit this winter.

no buggies on the day, and the weather was poor but course was in good condition though a little soggy in places

The course is recovering well after a shockingly wet winter,the greens are now behaving themselves which makes for a much better round,if you miss now its your own fault!!
