Council Course at Private Prices
This course is less than average. Poorly maintained and i would not pay more than 10 pound on a generous day. £25 pound paid for a 9.56 tee time. Greens appalling at best, layout abysmal. Drive down to Dorset golf and country club for the same price and play a superb course!!!!!Reviewer Rating

Clubhouse very nice with new terrace but course in poor condition, fairways bare ( as they have been for many years ) and all greens have been heavily sanded and not mentioned when booking.

Great Bacon Roll
Course has a clay base which in wet weather becomes very mucky. Recent rain had made the greens very spongy and footprints were still showing making putting a lottery.Reviewer Rating

First timer - quaint greens but sanded when we played which didn't help, but usually very good.

Main course very nice and variable holes, but green terrible, too much sand, to long and too rough, needed desperate cutting and bunkers to compact sand

Nice enough setup, but the course was in very poor condition, perhaps it's just not the time of year to be playing here. Greens have been hollow tined and where exceptionally long, it was like walking on a sponge and trying to get the ball in the whole was crazy golf. Fairways also not cut for weeks - it's like 1st cut of rough everywhere. Bunkers not raked so the sand is hard and compacted.
Breakfast beforehand was OK but probably wouldn't go for it again.

Established some 20 years ago on former farm land, this course is something of a "mixed bag". The quality of the fairways is poor but the greens are excellent and the bunkers are well maintained; some holes are nicely shaped and attractive whilst others are flat and straight. With 241 offers readily available, £12.50 is reasonable value, but no more than that.

Coming out of Winter

Challenging course
Fairways very boggy, due mainly to the clay soil. Greens spongey yet fast. Course signage could be better.However, that said, it was a good round on a very challenging course under the circumstances.
