What the club says: Set amongst mature trees and a couple of lakes Sturminster Marshall is truly rural in setting while being easily accessible from a number of main roads. The course is signposted from the A350 Poole- Blandford road when you arrive in the village of Sturminster Marshall.

Good course. Nice layout and good challenger for all abilities. Picturesque setting and decent length.

This is a short, flat 9-hole course with plenty of trees and bunkers, and a lake which acts as a water obstacle on several holes. It's great for those learning golf, or those who no longer enjoy a longer, hillier challenge. Also useful for anyone wanting to hone their short game or practise with their irons. There is a good driving range at the club too.

Rough

Very disappointing. Over priced for what it is ( a field). Lacks direction to the tees. 1st hole like a chip and putt.

Pleasant 9 Hole course all year round

This is a friendly 9 hole club (with good eating facilities). Sturminster is open throughout the year. It can sometimes be a little soggy in winter, but all holes playable to a degree.
Great training for both adults and kids

Good fun and test of irons/wedges

Always good fun. Quite compact but not too tight 9 holer. Recently revamped clubhouse and patio a lovely dog for a pint.

The very much term 'hidden gem' really does apply

Well presented for a small course/club. Good test of iron play.

Best little course around, very pretty and a fair test of your iron play.. Check the fixture list on their website before going (no need to book), as during home fixtures or medals weekend ends it can be painfully slow. Always a friendly welcome.
