Laid back club with some interesting holes utilising water and bunkering. Good changes in levels around a number of holes.

I'm returning to golf after almost 20 years away from the game, and have only played one other in the area (Ferndown Forest). At ?30 it's a little more than I?d like to pay for a round but I did pick an early tee time.
It's tight and tree-lined so not very forgiving, but I thoroughly enjoyed my round.
Playing during the current Covid environment makes it impossible to review hospitality/food/drink etc.

Good Practice Course
Pleasant course where you have to think about shot selection and shaping. No where really to take the driver out but still a nice practice course to play now and again(Round played: Sep 2019 - Score: 98 Handicap: 23.2)

Good test
Tight course and a thinking course. Greens are tough and fast. Course has improved over the years. Well worth playing.(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 99 Handicap: 27.8)

very nice course
it was very cold and I had the worse game of my life, a tricky little course and the ground was frozen. will defiantly play this one in the summer(Round played: Feb 2018 - Score: 110 Handicap: 18.2)

Very Sociable place to play golf
The weather had been poor all week, but the course played surprisingly well, picked the right place to play this week.Always a sociable atmosphere with the clubhouse in a nice setting.

Good litttle track, not very long, some good holes, some fairly average. Would probably play again in the summer , but for £26 on a sat mid morning cracking little deal!

Even though we have rain recently, course is still in good condition. Course staff out maintaining/cleaning bunkers/tees off leaves.

slow
although there was a competition on the play was very slow sometimes 3 groups on one hole..ie one putting out one on the fairway and one waiting to tee off. The bunkers were full of gravel and very little sand. A nice course that just wants a little bit of tweaking(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 101 Handicap: 24.7)

Challenging course

A tricky layout with a few deceptively difficult holes make for a long day if you are not on form. Back nine is a bit boring a bit "fieldy" and greens are not the best. Winter play can be muddy under foot but they are open and almost always a tee time available. I will play there again.
