First time around Breedon Priory, and what a pleasant round, despite the weather. It was clear that the very wet weather was challenging for the ground staff but the fairways were nicely cut and the semi not too long. Go too far of the fairway and you'll find difficulty or plenty of OOB. The green were quite wet and bumpy, and combined with plenty of undulations, made for challenging puts!
But I'll go back soon!

Good course to play when you are a beginner. Only 1 bunker and fairway very forgiving. The green was very fast though during this round, which got a bit frustrating but no complaints. Would play again.

We played yesterday as a four ball on a groupon voucher with two low handicap experienced golfers and two novices, this was excellent value. We received a very friendly welcome by the people in the pro-shop and the members about were very friendly and helpful as we found our way around. The course was very wet (it was a showery day) but it was surprising how boggy the surface was given the recent dry weather, some of the greens and tees were in quite poor condition and the pace of the greens was variable to say the least. I think in winter it would be very difficult to play after a wet spell. The course itself is interesting, with enough tricky bits to keep the experienced going but forgiving enough for the novices. The location of the course give some really good views of the local countryside and in a few locations some decent views into the distance, and there are plenty of planes to watch coming and going to east midlands airport. We have played at Beedles lake locally before and this is a much nicer and more interesting course, although in not such good condition in terms of the ground. By the time we finished the club house had shut as it was a wet day, but it looked ok from outside and would be nice in summer. The changing rooms were a bit functional. However We will go back again.

Played today and I would say we had a great time. The staff were great and the course was in good condition.\Greens were fine only things I would say that could improve are as some have said the bunkers are very poor not much sand and not well maintained. Any way to many leaves on the course hard to see your ball on some holes..Apart from that loved it.
