Greens aren't green and neither is the course. Very dry which makes putting a lottery which is a shame

Had potential a few year ago but really is a poor place to play now. Literally today (26th feb) just had a society and the place is falling apart, to the point of not even having a pro shop. From the start the young fella with glasses was rude, telling us no don't sit there sit here, barking at us and I quote 'use the cart paths otherwise you are off'. When we went out there the first 4 holes are unplayable and look like an absolute building site, the conditions got mildly acceptable after that. When we arrived back at the clubhouse the same man was again rude. At 5.50 at pint of peroni and looking at how they are struggling you would have thought they would want us to stay or at least entice us back but no,,, at half 5 the young man with glasses barked 'if you want another drink order it now as we want to tally up'. We did just that and on leaving he didn't acknowledge us at all, even though he was standing at the exit doors. I will say the young girl behind the bar deserves a better job gig than this one, she was the only shining light. I was here when it first opened and the pro was David Rawlings then it was a half decent club, nowadays don't bother, go North wield, toot hill or Woolston Manor where they are still interested in punters. Will never come back even at the very inexpensive rate they charge. I can understand the elements affecting a course but this course is finished

Very poor. Course not maintained at all, several of group could not find their ball in the middle of the fairway due to the length of grass. No monitoring of buggy use has led to the course looking like a rally cross track. Can only describe it as a second rate pay and play type course certainly not a championship course! Bar prices a joke as well £5.90 for pint of lager!!!! I'm short don't waste your money and play elsewhere.

I hadn't played here for 4 years and I certainly will not be going back again. As soon as I drove in I wondered where the fairways started as it all just appears to be rough and once I started playing the courses condition did not improve and the bunkers are no better. With a bit of effort this course could be so much better but it appears that whoever runs Blakes doesn't really care

Best thing about this course - the clubhouse. Although the course, provides a challenge due to it's various hazards, the course itself is very very poorly kept. It was £22.50 a round, with £5 for a buggy which we had to change half way round as he battery died.

The rough was a nightmare, was similar to that of a links course it was very thick/high reads and near impossible to escape in 1 shot. Turned into a weed hacking session later in the day, however with it being so thick and dense it was a great reminder to stay OUT. Perhaps helping motivate us to play good shots on some holes.

The fairways - in one word, terrible. The fairways are very poorly kept and look as though they have been cut with a strimmer. Awful.

Greens - the quality of the greens varied throughout the course, majority of them being very poor however and looking as though lots of buggies have driven over them, not smooth very bobbly.

Overall poor course, would not play there again unless it was for £10 maybe!

Has the potential to be an amazing course, but as it is, terrible. Fairways rough, greens uneven & bumpy with the off mushroom to make it interesting. Although the rough is tough to play out of it's not too bad for finding your ball.

The condition of this "golf course" is a disgrace! The fairways and the rough merge into one.
If you remotely like golf don't play here. I'd rather play pitch and putt!

Very disappinted, despite a weekend round and a buggy for £20 each.

Uneven teeboxes, 'fairway' is no better than light rough with poorly repaired divots on most holes. The worst greens I have ever played on, all had been spiked and were covered in sand so very slow. Very little signage for direction of tee shots, luckily i had a gps to give me some indication.

Will not be re-visiting! If only they spent more money on the course and less on the awful restaurant/bar staff.
