questionable condition
I have played this course for a lot of years and seen the ups and downs. We are now very much in a down phase - the bunkers have not been raked since before lockdown; the greens are like concrete in April - where is the watering? there is little fairway definition and the tee boxes appear very scruffy. At this time, it is hard to recommend playing here.Reviewer Rating

Great little knock
Can’t fault this little par 3, 9 hole course.Some of the best greens I’ve ever played on.

Good nick
Birchwood has a rep for being slow, but our 3 ball went round 3.40, depsite being behind two fairly slow 2 2 balls, so it was a decent pace of play.Greens in very good condition.

Very enjoyable course. The wide fairways encourage you to really go for it off the tee. The greens were immaculate and there is nice mix of challenges with strategically placed bunkers and blind shots like the long par 4 15th. The water hazards don't really come into play, except in your head. Great value for ?25.

Good choice
Not played here for a while as rounds were getting very slow, but a Sunday afternoon went round in 4 hours and even then had a few waits on the tee, so a very pleasant surprise! Greens good, tee boxes not in great shape. Fairways running fast.(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 95 Handicap: 23.3)

Course in good condition and greens excellent, if a bit quick. Be careful of going too far off the fairway as after to first cut it is quite long grass

first time we played here coming down from Essex. A nice course in good condition with some nice elevation changes. Will be back.

Good Course
Lovely course, pity the weather didn't hold up for us.... Had to let a lot of people through as we were a walking 4 ball and most others were in buggies - bit it didn't spoiil the day.(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 106 Handicap: 26.1)
