Highly impressed
After the heavy rain we had a couple of days ago I was not expecting to see a course in such good condition . Greens were very good , bunkers were all playable and raked . Very nice track
Played here not expecting too much to be honest as I’d seen and heard very mixed reviews but can honestly say that the greens are as good as you’ll find at a pay and play in January and there is no mess or mud on the fairways . Enjoyable track

tricky 15th with cliff
Nice course with a very difficult 15th with a steep cliff to negotiate. From the tee a good drive is necessary to the yop of the cliff and the green is about 150 yards away and about 4m lower. Course in good August condition(Round played: Aug 2021 - Score: 113 Handicap: 32.8)

Very enjoyable course. The wide fairways encourage you to really go for it off the tee. The greens were immaculate and there is nice mix of challenges with strategically placed bunkers and blind shots like the long par 4 15th. The water hazards don't really come into play, except in your head. Great value for ?25.

Superb condition.
Despite the amount of rain we've had recently, the course was in superb condition.nvery lively greens running true and nice fairways.Only gripe was ?5 to hire a trolley as they want winter wheels on trollies.
Doesn't make slightest bit of difference. Just another money making tactic.

A great golfing experiece
I have played Birchwood Park many times before but I thought it deserved a few words this time. The course is in outstanding condition with good fairways, playable semi rough and the course punishes for wayward shots. Bunkers are generally in excellent condition and each hole provides a good test of golf which rewards the straight hitting golfer. The greens are in superb condition, well manicured, challenging and provide an excellent test although you need to be in good position or a 3 putt is on the cards. My last two rounds have been Twilights so 3 hour rounds for two of us with no slow play. A must play if you haven't before and a course I will keep going back to as it gets better and better as the landscape matures.Reviewer Rating

Great condition
The trick to playing Birchwood is to play off peak, the round before this on a Saturday lunchtime took 5hours 15mins waiting at most holes up to the 13th. This round took 2 hours less and was very enjoyable and the course and in particular the greens were excellent. Definitely would recommendReviewer Rating

Lovely venue with friendly staff
Club house is modern and lots of facilities other than golf (swimming pool & gym). Restaurant / bar is good value with friendly attentive staff. Together with a great course it is really worth trying out.(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 102 Handicap: 24.2)

Quite expensive but worth every penny!
Played this morning, tee boxes are well watered and lush, the greens are absolutely perfect, everything in between has been scorched by the sun as has everywhere in the country. Course played superbly.(Round played: Jul 2018 - Score: 89 Handicap: 18.6)
