Having read the review on the stuffy welcome I went with an open mind. And guess what! They are right. Possibly the least friendly club I have ever been to. Wouldn't go back again. The course was OK but I think there are far better courses for the same price. I wouldn't recommend!

I see others say that this is a 'stuffy' club with an outdated attitude - not interested in welcoming new visitors. How true. Booked and paid for online, booking not honoured on arrival after a distinctly unwelcoming welcome. Felt like we were being frogmarched from the premises! Subsequently, I wrote to the club to offer them a right to reply. Needless to say, nothing materialised. Shame, because the course looks ok.

Stuffy, old fashioned golf course. I am a young man attempting to experience some of the nice courses in my area and so I recently went with my younger brother to play at Beeston Fields. Upon arrival, we were questioned with regards to our attire (something which had never been an issue at other well respected golf clubs) and made to feel very uncomfortable by the men working in the shop, so much so that we did not venture into the clubhouse following our round! This sort of course needs to move on if it wishes to attract the next generation of golfers, as I certainly will not be returning to Beeston Fields Golf Club in its current state.

Lovely course, well situated, but just too wet under any type of rain.

Greens are diseased in places, which involves bumps and detours. Rest of course is good but found the back nine hard work with two par 5's together.

Not a winter course!

Stunning drive up to the clubhouse, bayed practice area to left as you drive in, clubhouse and pro very welcoming. you have a warm up net and a chipping / putting green.

The greens have bit of fusarium in areas but OK for Nearing December. Fairways have suffered like most this year and very bare and after yesterdays Storm Diana very soggy and not much grass to get a decent lie. Course is featureless sadly just finished and other than the 18th I really couldn't tell you any holes that gave me the WOW factor.

All in all the winter open was excellent value £25 inc 2 course dinner, cannot fault the set up just didn't inspire me to rush back any time soon. Maybe a summer visit next season would give me a better outlook at the course setup.

2 new tee's 2 & 3 look excellent and they have a 3 year project so maybe pushign funds into much needed area's, bunkers had plenty of sand in tbf.

Food was excellent and service, 89 won 84 came 3rd just pipped.

Good course

Beeston Fields is a lovely course that offers a warm welcome and outstanding club house that overlooks the 18th green and the practice putting area with the rest of the course in the background making for a fabulous place to relax before and after the round. \Iove the variety this course offers, with various dog legs in each direction and several blind shots. \The par threes seem easy yet provide a surprising head challenge of hitting the dance floor. \The course is really well defined and clearly has a hard working ground staff - it was in really good condition
