beautiful course

Great course. Really clever how they switch up the layout for winter play. Had to play off mats but they were good quality. All tees and greens were in play. Not too bad at all for £27.

Really good facilities, good club, challenging course in parts

Some cracking holes at the beginning and end, a bit "samey" midway up and down on a slanted hill. Can be a bit of a hike, buggies were a massive help on a hot day. But enjoyed it. Some long and very challenging holes

Erewash Valley Review

Round played October 2024. Unfortunately due to weather the week before we played, the ground was extremely wet and a lot of mud balls were to be had. As a result the course played extremely long. To be fair the greens were still good, but it's quite apparent this course is not a winter course. We played from the white tees and the middle of the round was a complete slog, up and down the adjacent fairways that added no variety to the round. The par 3's in the quarry are probably the only positive to take away from our visit, although I think the club close these holes during winter. I would recommend playing Erewash Valley in the summer months rather than winter to get a better golfing experience.

Winter NO!

Absolute waste of time during a wet winter, mats to be used throughout the course, should be closed really to recover. Not golf to me, save this place for spring/summer only

Erewash Valley Summer Course

The course was in excellent condition. Both the fairways and greens were clear of leaves. The weather was good when we played, however we have had some heavy rain in the area recently but the ground was firm. All holes were open. The greens were in excellent condition. A pleasure to play the course.

Good Early Season Course

Dries well. Greens firm but receptive. Overall good. Very noisy though from the adjacent M1.

Motorway gem

the original golf course was shortened due to the M1 being constructed through its grounds. the compensation for this paid for an excellent clubhouse and function room facility that provides superb food at a great price. This is a well kept, members golf club that prides itself on the standard of its greens and the course presentation.the fairways were hard and fast but the greens still in great order. The signature quarry holes were in play and are a quirky but enjoyable feature to the course. There are some parallel holes but the tree line makes fairway finding tight. This venue is well worth a visit for the travelling golfer and those living locally report it is a friendly, well run, members facility. I always enjoy playing here and todays visit did not disappoint.
