Disappointed

I've been playing this course for a number of years and it's gradually getting worse. I can understand the fairways being poor because they are still recovering from last years drought. But there is no excuse for the greens. Never known them as bad! Which is a shame as when the course is in good condition it's a really good taste of your game.

Winter NO!

Absolute waste of time during a wet winter, mats to be used throughout the course, should be closed really to recover. Not golf to me, save this place for spring/summer only

Erewash Valley Review

Round played October 2024. Unfortunately due to weather the week before we played, the ground was extremely wet and a lot of mud balls were to be had. As a result the course played extremely long. To be fair the greens were still good, but it's quite apparent this course is not a winter course. We played from the white tees and the middle of the round was a complete slog, up and down the adjacent fairways that added no variety to the round. The par 3's in the quarry are probably the only positive to take away from our visit, although I think the club close these holes during winter. I would recommend playing Erewash Valley in the summer months rather than winter to get a better golfing experience.

very dry but greens and tees good

there are a number of parallel holes that allow errant shots to find the adjacent fairway.the quarry holes are interesting short ones.some interesting tee shots requiring irons for 2nd shot placement.always a welcoming venue with excellent catering and clubhouse. Pro shop well stocked as well.

Very nice club house, one of the best in Derbyshire i reckon. Worth a round if in area, couple of very similar back to back par 4's kind of add an element of 'da ja vu' but overall not a bad course.

Another good local course that is a good test for golfers of all abilities and I particularly like the two par 3 holes in the quarry. A good selection of holes involve water but the big trees down the side of the first have suddenly aquired stakes!!!! The club house and changing rooms are currently undergoing extensive modernisation.

Really good facilities, good club, challenging course in parts

Some cracking holes at the beginning and end, a bit "samey" midway up and down on a slanted hill. Can be a bit of a hike, buggies were a massive help on a hot day. But enjoyed it. Some long and very challenging holes

Easily Accessible

Easy to access via Junction 25 of the M1. Lockdown provisions fully in place but felt reassuringly safe throughout. The course is in good condition. The greens and surrounds were in superb order played fast and true. I know the clubhouse and the service is usually excellent however many staff are currently furloughed but my marks on based on several previous visits.this is an excellent course for the visiting golfer. Well worth a visit.

Very warm welcome from the organizers and course in excellent shape, not sure it will hold up in the winter but for the open it was just perfect. except for mickey mouse and the windmill on green 9 #PinPosition and a five putt :-(

Limited practice facilties due to new ranger being built, but 2 station net and short game area etc

100% back for 2019 £20 bargain and jut off the motorway so access is simple even a holiday Inn for us EV users to rapid charge 2 miles away on route in :-)

Worth playing

Played here as on a trip up to the Midlands with mates. Good course in nice condition. Greens were decent and rolled well. The 2 par 3's in the quarry (holes 4 & 5) are a nice diversion on the front 9. Bit up and down other than that but usually something to keep you entertained on most holes. Would play again if back in the area. Welcoming club house too.
