Pleasant course with varied layout
Nice course with a varied layout making for an enjoyable round of golf. Whilst there are quite a few shorter par 4s these still provide a decent test and surprisingly the course still exceeds 6,000 yards off the yellows. The opening 2 holes holes are both fairly short and provide a nice warmup to get going in your round. The course is also fairly flat so the pace is pretty good with rounds generally well under 3 hours 30mins.We played at the start of autumn and the greens were first class running slick and true. The fairways were slightly dry and scabby but this is really down to the weather so not much can be expected from the course. Also, whilst most fairways are tree lined, if you do stray off the fairway you generally aren't in too much trouble and can usual chip out fairly well due to the trees being spaced a part.
All in all a nice course, worth playing, reasonably price and definitely one to go back to.

City Parkland Course
Played in a two ball yesterday. Bright, sunny day just perfect for golf. Course in good condition, with greens fast and challenging. Greenkeepers were busy and friendly. Clubhouse patio for a pint and a sandwich after, but no chef until 4pm. Enjoyed the day on a flat parkland course. Relief on fairways! and bunkers. Good value using my monthly discount.Reviewer Rating

A well maintained challenging flat course
The bunkers were GUR and it was pick and place on the fairways even though the fairways were in very good condition. The greens were immaculate and fast. In addition, the greens were challenging due to making an accurate read for line and pace essential.Reviewer Rating

lovely course in really good condition. Not as easy as it appears at first look. This is a course that has to be thought through and played tactically. With COVID 19 restrictions, the clubhouse and the halfway hut were not open.(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 91 Handicap: 28.8)

My home course.
Pleasantly flat parkland course suitable for those with age-related medical conditions. Not the pushover it looks; well-positioned doglegs require accurate tee shots in order to score well. the greens are relatively fast for the UK and the "borrows" are not that easy to read. The recent weather has not been kind to the back 9 and these have been left unplayable (unmaintainable due to excess surface water and sodden ground). The keepers have done a sterling job maintaining playable fairways and green. All shots are taken from mats on the fairways and out of the rough.Pity that the relatively new to the Club caterer doesn't open up until 10 am, can't get a decent breakfast in the clubhouse before teeing off for an early round.

Pleasant walk in the park
A lovely almost flat parkland course which is bisected by a pretty quiet public road. The halfway hut is a great rest stop for a "wad and a brew" (sandwich and tea to you) this is located between the 10th green & 11th tee. A public footpath crosses the 13th and 17th fairways so care needs to be exercised to avoid hitting pedestrians and cyclists. The greens are in very good condition and the fairways are a sufficient challenge for the better player without intimidating the high handicapers. Great place to play golf.Reviewer Rating
