Very classy. Some stunning holes to play. Immaculate greens that are true and lightening fast. Very friendly members. Would love to play it in summertime.

Played the course after very heavy rain. A wonderful variety of holes, not long but greens I guess can be very tricky, after the rain, they were soft and receptive. The course was very quiet and it seemed we were the only people on the course as we walked between the pines. Highly recommended.

From walking into the clubhouse you know you are going to be in for a treat. From the window you can see the 18th green and the 1st tee and its looks lovely. The 1st hole is a nice start can be a daunting tee shot as you have 60-80 yards of heather and rough in front off you. The front 9 is just good hole after good hole, The back 9 has some weaker holes on it but the greens are fantastic, Lots of subtle breaks and you have to be able to read putts round here, I 3 putted on several occasions. Its a really good test of golf and I will be back. Staff in the clubhouse and pro shop very friendly.

The rough, which could be shin or knee length, was punishing.

A beautiful course in immaculate condition. Although this is a heathland course, the working forrest of Cannock chase has grown around it which provides superb views and hole definition. Very tough and usually quick greens also provide the best putter a stern test. Stay out of the rough here at all costs!
