Do NOT play this course at this time of year
With a very poor pace of play (6 hour round), it was hard to enjoy the course and the golf itself. The course was however in very poor condition so there wasn't much to enjoy. Rough was unplayable as well as well as the bunkers. The course is definitely going to suffer in this time of the year, however in summer it may be in a fair condition.Reviewer Rating

Shockingly bad pace of play, just a money making machine!
I played at Allerton recently, and to be totally honest was appalled from the dreadful, dreadful DREADFUL pace of play. Considering the length of the course I cannot comprehend how players can achieve the feat of taking half an hour to complete a hole and why the club are not doing anything about it. They seem to address the issues of the restaurant more, I think it is just a money making machine now.Reviewer Rating

Shockingly poor pace of play
Pace of play was awful absolutely dreadful. Will not be returning. However I can applaud its tremendous hospitality and staff, this is not what contributes to the attributes of the course.Reviewer Rating

\Played on a weekend. Saturday at 2.41 pm. The round ended up being 5 and a half hours long and I was appalled. I walked off the 18th at 8pm. By this time if was dark. Course was in average condition, greenkeepers are doing a fair job considering how overplayed it is. I was treated poorly by the restaurant staff however the club pro was a very nice young chap. Would only recommend if you don\\\\\\\'t care about the golf (more just for the food).Reviewer Rating

Testing shortish ,5191 yellow tees, course with some tricky holes. The day was spoiled because a society was playing ahead of us and the round took just shy of 5 hours..9th hole par 3 had 3 groups waiting to play.I would play again only if less busy or better guidance on timing given at various holes..every shot was a waitwhich spoiled it.Reviewer Rating

Greens very poor
Played at Allerton the past 3 years, the course seems to be get worst each time I play. Played 22nd April 2022 not 1 good green on the whole round very port condition. Other courses near by charge the same and are in far better condition. Played early morning at 8am, didn’t see one green keeper or anyone cutting and fairways etc.Reviewer Rating

Short but sweet
Short course, although playing off winter tee's, so easy to reach the greens if hitting straight. Decent condition seeing we have had a lot of rain the past week. I think the course would have the better feel to it in dryer months.(Round played: Nov 2021 - Score: 85 Handicap: 18.9)
