Played 9th August with my son he lives in Ireland he said courses are far superior and reasonably priced over there. Greens and tee boxes are in need of attention l know the course is very busy which is why the course has not got time to repair itself. Bunkers not raked l won’t be back in a hurry it’s not worth the money

over priced

Played here on a sunday morning, the tee boxes are a horrible, the greens looked like they hadn't been cut in a while and the bunkers had not been raked in a while even though there was rakes there, I played here 2 years ago and really enjoyed it but this time was very disappointed with it.

Mr

Played midday on Saturday and it took nearly 2 hours to play the first 4 holes, ended up walking off. Tee boxes are poor, course is not kept well when there is little rain but the biggest problem is of a weekend it is far too busy! I was a 1-ball so should be getting round fairly quickly and as I said it took nearly 2 hours to do 4 holes. Tee times need to be staggered better or somebody needs to be controlling when people tee off to ensure a flowing course. Weekend prices are far too expensive for the experience you get, £28 for a VERY frustrating 4 holes of golf!!

Disappointed

Pretty disappointed to be honest. The course has been neglected at the expense of the facilities ( which are excellent btw). The greens were poorly maintained , full of bobbles and bald patches and they don’t seem like they’ve seen a roller in a long time. The tees are even worse. If I’d paid for a membership here then I would have a long list of complaints. If it’s golf you’re after then give it a miss but the food and facilities are excellent

Shocking price

what was once a decent muni has now become a shockingly priced poor course. No marshall to keep people to tee times and staggered starts, tee boxes are some of the worst you'll ever see and the greens aren't much better. £35 midweek to play here is taking the pi$$. Zero attention on the golf side of things with all the care and attention going on the bar (which to be fair is fantastic). Other local courses are a lot better for a much fairer price.

Terrible condition course

I have played allerton, almost all of my golfing life - I’m sad to say I am considering finding a new regular course. Greens are terrible, divots aren’t replaced and the pace of play is dreadful. It’s a shame because I have always thought the course has a nice layout and friendly staff. On top of that, the prices have hugely increased for a course in such poor condition.

improving course

Played several times and I would say each visit has been better than the previous. The course isn't the hardest however the condition overall has greatly improved. Has a few decent holes, overall is good value for what it is. Stuck behind a very slow members 4-ball that had ample opportunities to let our 2-ball through, but didn't.....

Great course and good value

Course is well kept. Got a good balance of being challenging if don’t hit the fairways but can score well. Needs a practise area which they are planning/building I think then will be fantastic. Quick round too which is a bonus and cheap

After the course not having been played on for the first part of the year I thought the greens would have been in much better condition. Some greens where really, really poor. More effort needed of the golf course and less on food and drink.
