we hold a charity day there every year nice course hilly in parts

course was very wet after several days of rain with lots of water on greens and course

After a gap of several years I revisited. This is a nice course, but expensive for what it is (the prices on this website are not up to date). The course has been made easier by cutting out lots of rough, I guess to speed up Society play. The smell from the adjacent sewage settling tanks is not pleasant
The Clubhouse is very good, but only one cask ale available, and that was not well kept.
I think that this place is worth visiting, but not often and then only on a 2 fore 1 deal.

The course was in good condition but only half about half
of the bunkers were in play .
It's a shame that they have turned the 12th hole from a
par 4 to a par 5 ! Hit a driver then a wedge to the green for
an eagle putt ?no way a par 5 ?

Certainly the value is good & fairways are fine & greens are challenging. There are some interesting holes too & the greens could be hard to read. Yet I didn’t enjoy it as much as I’d expected. The course was surprisingly busy for mid week mid afternoon & there were some bullish characters & the place just didn’t seem relaxed or as friendly as many others. We didn’t stay for drinks consequently . That said it deserves another chance at another time

Had a strong recommendation to play but realised that was from a young strong big hitter who played there in summer. In March The greens & tees were excellent. Fairways were reasonable but away from there rather worn & muddy than had expected. Looking forward to going back when it's warmer & drier

Very hilly course. Most holes are down, up or across a hill. Generally in good condition.

Expected more
Greens were pretty good, nice undulations.Fairways in poor condition, big slits everywhere.
Little scruffy in places, eg. Bunkers and some walkways

too crowded - otherwise decent value for money
