Lovely course with classic holes
Surrey National GC is one of the highlights of the Altonwood Group's course - somewhat hidden away but easily accessible by car and PT in Caterham.After playing this course in both Winter and Summer - it favours, as do many, confident play from the tee box as missing the fairway is likely to cost you a shot or two.
Greens are always fair to firm and kept in great condition all year round. Signature holes include hitting over water on the Par 3, 3rd which doubles back on the birdie friendly par 5 6th and then the big finish on the 18th in front of your adoring fans in the clubhouse.
I recommend highly for the common club golfer who wants a bit of a challenge at a pretty course.

Superb course.
Fantastic nick greens and fairways. Lots of slopes . Greens above you, below you. Hanging lies. Fast large greens. I had a good game 86 off 14.(Round played: Jun 2017 - Score: 86 Handicap: 14.2)

A really tough course with amazing fairways and the greens were very well maintained. Extremely hilly that will tire you out but worth it

Very pleasant course on the North Downs, with some great views. Physically hard work but worth it. Greens in very good condition. Food in the clubhouse was also good. Several societies playing the same day so the Pro let us off the 10th, which was considerate. Best value course I've played.

Glorious day. Course was in excellent condition. Teeboxes, fairways were superb, on criticism were the greens, a little bumpy, don't think they'd been rolled. Some great holes to keep you focussed, the 5th, 10th, 11th, 13th and 18th, will get you thinking about what shot to play. All the staff from the pro-shop, bar, kitchen and greenkeepers were very helpful. Very enjoyable and would definitely visit again.
