Excellent round of golf in difficult conditions. No temporary tees or greens and at £18 very good value. Course in decent Nick considering the time of year. Highlight was an Eagle 2 at the last from 122 yards ! Get in !

A real joy to play! If I was being picky the bunker sand was a bit ify, but otherwise this has everything. Pretty much every shot has something to challenge you, without ever feeling that your game is being stiffled.
I booked through "teeofftimes.co.uk" (£23.50 Midweek) which was a real bargain (specially compared with Wolfdale, {very basic} who charge £20)

Top course greens are in my top ten really true to the line. fairways are lovley. Take extra balls lots of water so a bit of course management will go a long way.

Spring at last!!! played in glorious sunshine makes such a difference. The course is recovering as well as can be expected after such a shocking winter for golf. The greens are now running true and there is some roll on the fairways. This is anexcellent place to stay for a golf break with three loops of nine to play, log cabins to stay in and a club house serving great food.

First time here for quite a while but we will definately be back ! Managed to secure a deal of £21 for the green fee.Proved to be excellent value for money as the course was in excellent shape and plenty of work being done on it to keep it that way.Congratulations go out to all the staff involved.A very interesting and challenging round of golf with some water and very cannily placed bunkers to catch out the unwitting,as stated before a definate must play and excellent facilities.

Played Woodland then Lakeland and hardly noticed any other players even though a big society was playing (who must have played the Parkland first) so great concept of 27 holes. I loved the Woodland even though every par 3 has a tree strategically growing infront of the green! But found the Lakeland too tough (lots of water which I avoided but too many bunkers or other hazards). Booked through this website so good value for money. Also made use of the bar which had a good range of ales

I played the Lakeland/Parkland Course combination yesterday and found it a great challenge. The fairways and course definition were very good and I thought the greens were in fantastic condition, running very true. We had a snack in the clubhouse afterwards. The menu had lots of choice and all staff I spoke to were very friendly. I would definitely recommend the club and course and I will be back to try out the other 9 holes.

I recently played the lakeland/woodland course and very much enjoyed my experience. The facilities available were vast, with a large driving range, excellent short game areas, huge clubhouse with wonderful food (highly recommend The Dorset Resort Club Sandwich) and a well stocked pro shop. All members of staff were helpful and very knowledgeable. The course was in very good condition, fairways and rough were well cut and the length of the rough was manageable too. The back 9 woodland was a great test of skill. Well constructed holes, really had to place my way round the course. Wonderful greens which were running very true and fast, 10 on the stint meter which was great to see considering the weather we have had this year. Overall it was a great day and will be coming back very soon. 10/10.

I played the Lakeland/Woodland Course last week and found the overall experience wonderful. The friendly staff on arrival were excellent and only too pleased to help. The facilities are great, huge clubhouse, big driving range and the food was delicious (generous portions too). The course was in great shape and considering all the recent rain i was really impressed. The greens were running really fast and very true and it was a pleasure to play. I will certainly bring my society back here 10/10

I came here on April 1st-2nd with a group of 24. The weather was outstanding which helped, but even so the 27 hole course was a lot of fun. The lakeland and Parkland have a lot of sand, which I managed to find regularly, and the woodland has some very tricky greens. There are no Par 5's on the Woodland Course but the course is tight which some natural obstacles which make for tough opporunities to score well. The course was in very good condition and the course ranger was really helpful.
The venue was also very good. The accomodation is basic but perfecly acceptable, and the bar area/food was excellent. It has all the facilities you would expect to find at a golf resort and at £90 for the weekend Dorset Golf & Country Club is excellent value.
The only disappointment was that they have a very small fleet of buggies (18, but 4 were broken when we arrived), so if you're hoping to secure them ensure you do so when booking.
Overall, this is a great resort for those not wanting to spend a fortune.

Parkland course was very wet and muddy,- drainage is poor on this course, which did effect the enjoyment, however the Woodland course, you wouldnt have know that we have had any rain as this was in great condition.
The course normally is a joy to play on any of the 3 courses

Always Open

One of only a few courses open in all this wet weather. Considering all the rain this course has three loops of nine and can spread players out. The Woodland nine was the least wet and muddy of the 3 nines. All nines were on main tees and greens but a lot of the fairways were extremely wet and very muddy in certain areas but overall playable, just.
