Bargain Golf Courses to Play in Scotland This Summer

There are more than 550 golf courses in Scotland, which are all part of the fabric of the nation. While many legendary venues draw attention, they are typically expensive to play. However, beyond that, there are some exceptional bargains to be had across the country.

If you are looking for somewhere enjoyable and inexpensive to visit this summer, we are delighted to reveal 20 standout destinations, which have been Highly Recommended by the Golfshake Community for the time of year and offer peak season tee times for no more than £50. 

Several of these green fees are twilight rates, so be sure to do prior research, but generally speaking, this is a collection of courses that can be experienced for fantastic value in the Home of Golf!

Review Comment: "Really fun shorter course with a nice variety of holes. Played it on a misty evening which may have added to the grandeur of some of the tee shots. Plenty of elevation change to keep players on their toes - and a really dramatic finish with 14, 15 and 16 tucked away in a tight corner of the course."

Review Comment: "Excellent course in central Scotland, located adjacent to Gleneagles' PGA Centenary Course. The course is in great condition, particularly the greens. Can feel a little claustrophobic at times with a number of tees and greens close together, but as long as the tee times are spaced out properly it's not a real problem. Very nice facilities in the clubhouse too. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area."
