won a free fourball to play the course, played on 26/6/11, overcast with some rain, course was in very good condition and we timed it well because no one in front or behind for a couple of holes
opening 9 I believe has been new addition to original 9 holes. front 9 is up and down the hill but didn't feel tiring. some tricky bunkers but the course is quite open and will improve as the trees grow
back 9 is mature and interesting;
par 3 12th is sheltered, wind catches anything above tree line
par 4 13th doesn't feel like you have a shot to the fairway unless you hit high and long over tree (i drilled it through the gap)
par 5 14th dog leg left has a huge dip to gather 250+ drives
par 3 15th drops 80+ yards to the green, anything long is OB
par 4 16th is intimidating for a low driver like me, driving back across the 15th green and up over the hill to a rollercoaster fairway
par 4 17th is short but drastically narrows with railway line from left and tree line from the right, had an eagle putt after 3w hooked left onto the railway line and bounced back onto the back left of the green
par 4 18th is probably the narrowest fairway on the course with OB down the left, I'm sure a lot of players bail out right onto the 10th fairway, but they have a bunker front right of the green to catch everyone coming in from that angle

Very nice challenging course for a beginner like myself, very nice scenery and cracking view from the 15th Tee, front 9 is fairly hilly but not too difficult and the back 9 is more sheltered would definately reccommend and play again

Very friendly staff, don’t be put off by the shortish length of the course. The greens are fast and tricky, and the majority have run offs. Worth visiting just for the par 3 15th. What a view! This is a course where skill and finesse will prevail.
Try to power this course at your peril.
