Great course
Played on 24th April in good weather with only a slight breeze off the sea. Course condition was excellent with firm fairways and challenging slick greens on most holes. There is a steep climb up the 11th and 12th before coming back down the par 5 13th. When playing the 13th, aim just to the right of the marker pole to avoid ending up on the wrong fairway to the left. I found the par 3's the most challenging because of the undulating greens mainly. The par 3 6th hole is the signature hole and tee's off across a gorge at the cliffs (about 100yds across) before landing on a green that slopes back towards the cliffs if you land short with spin. In the breeze I played a short 9 iron and birdied this hole. Views are stunning from all the cliffside holes.I'm around a 14 handicap and scored a decent 84 considering I didn't know the course at all.
It was not busy on the weekday I played. Booked at 10 and allowed to tee off 20mins early. Staff and local club players were friendly and very helpful. Definitely play this one again again when next in Berwick upon Tweed.

Eyemouth
Eyemouth is an outstanding cliff-side course with some lovely holes, of which the standout is probably the par 3 6th. It's only 131 yards from the yellows, but you have to go over the North Sea for 100 of them. There are a couple of climbs (11th and 15th), but mostly the course is fairly easy walking. The fairways are super wide, and the biggest defence to a good score are the undulating greens and the weather.
I played here after a day of very heavy rain and the course remained very playable. I can't think of a single reason why you wouldn't want to play here.

spectacular coastal views
We played in mid April on a sunny, windy day. The course plays like any other traditional links course; you need to manage your shots according to the wind strength and direction, and course is set up delightfully to set a challenge for all levels of golfer! The course was in good condition, already drying out at this early pat of the season, both the fairways and greens relatively quick in speed, the greenkeepers presenting the course in beautiful order. The course was also very busy, but once we had allowed a pair behind us to play through, we had no one in front or behind, so it was more enjoyable.
The signature hole is a par three over a cove, we had the "privilege" of using the medal tees - at 170 yards straight into the wind - thank you!!!
A very enjoyable experience if you can adjust to the speed of the greens and play according to the weather conditions. Highly recommended for the spectacular views along the coastline from the top of the course.

Wow
We turned up on a horrid day, heavy rain and strong wind, hit a 5 iron on a short par 3, where I'd normally hit wedge! But what a great experience, a beautiful links course, right on the coast. Very memorable. The clubhouse is nothing fancy, but they serve good food and drinks, with a friendly welcome from staff and other visitors. A very helpful Pro shop too.(Round played: Aug 2018 - Score: 53 Handicap: )

excellent course
totally flat which puts a different perspective on your game, what is carded as 200 yards looks very close so a bit of thinking to do. Suit any level of golfer, well worth a visit. It played quite slow as it was busy and parking is limited other than that play it. Staff are very welcoming and are more than happy to help.Reviewer Rating

Stunning views... uphill part of the course hurts though!
You can see the North Sea for the vast majority of the round, it's absolutely beautiful.Holes are, for the most part, unique (relative to the other holes on the course, I mean) and interesting. Also, appropriately challenging. None are too long yet quite a few require strategic thinking or lay-ups.
It's a really lovely walk... until you get to the up-hill 11th. Such a steep hole. Then you have to go further up the hill to the 12th tee. Coming back down the 13th makes is somewhat enjoyable, the 13th is a really fun hole, but honestly the 11th and 12th did serious damage to my legs. My round somewhat disappeared as I stopped transferring my weight as well as usual and found my swings rather tired.
The locals ahead of us skipped 11, 12 and 13. If I was playing this course regularly, that's exactly what I'd do. If I was playing the course again, I'd use a buggy.
Club house views are just... stunning. It's worth going almost for that alone.
