New in Essex

Impressive new addition to the golf world in Essex, the course has bedded in well considering how new it is impressive fairways and greens.

windy!!!

A very Challenging course, it was like Cranham on speed!!! I loved going round the course it is well maintained the greens are excellent and the fairways are very nice. The whole experience was challenging with the wind and I really had to think about what to do.

North and East courses

This has the potential to easily be the best course I. Essex. Which is incredible considering how new it is. A few areas of constant standing water that needs addressing and also the finishing off of the last 4 holes needs addressing but all in all a super option in this area

13 holes on the main course open (as of Oct 19) and you play holes 5-9 again to make 18. The full 18 should be open by mid 2020. Typical "Links" course, undulating and long fairways with some difficult greens. Add in the windy nature of this venue and the harsh rough (gorse), this is a challenging course for all handicaps. Fairways and greens are in very good conditions although some settling on fairways still occurring on a few holes as to be expected on a new course. The views are excellent and this will be a superb course in short time. Overall I had a very enjoyable round. Easy it's not, but if you like a challenge and your course management is of reasonable standard you will enjoy playing this course. The clubhouse is modern with good food. It combines with gym and bowls, so more of a country club than a traditional golf club and membership prices seem reasonable in comparison with other courses.

New course, bit longer than expected

Good new course, bit longer and more serious than was expecting. In excellent condition, rough and gorse punishing if you are off line. Green side bunkering rather weak in comparison to high standard of design overall. Be prepared for a test. Views and hospitality at club were also very good.

Great but overpriced

First visit to the North course where you play the same 9 twice to make a round. £45 inc full English brekkie was a tad steep. The course is a good challenge but the pricing needs reviewing. Greens were in superb nick and the fairways had plenty of bounce ( due to the dry spell I presume).

A real good mini links, lush, green, and very well kept. Great fun and practice for your short game. Think you can play all day for £10 (double check) Tee boxes lovely and greens in good nick.

Played there a lot over the autumn and winter 2014 and found it held up pretty well. Less of a case in drier weather where the greens were horrid. 10 quid for a day ticket is great value.

Played this mini par 3 a fair bit over the last few weeks. Some challenging holes for beginners on the first couple of rounds, will soon get used to it and boost the confidence in short range. apart from only machines to grab food atm whilst they are renovating the 18 hole course, the other facilities are good. From the driving range which is new, the club shop and the very nice practice green. Would recommend people try this mini links out. Great value for money
