What the club says: The course measures 6021 yards which is a shortish course but has a total of 5 par 3's. With good drainage all year round play is possible.

Enjoyable course to play
Worth a visit. Whilst not very long a well laid out course, providing a reasonable challenge for most average golfers. Well maintained and greens playing true but difficult to read!Reviewer Rating

Tight course
Tight course with several overlaps and Tees close to greens. Would benefit from extra signage for visitors to direct to next next tee. Fairways bit rough with obviously lots of recent work putting in drainage and sprinklers. Greens very good condition, expect to be very difficult in the summer. Good days golfReviewer Rating

Have been lucky enough to call this my home course for a year now and will do for many years to come.
Played this course for years before I became a member and absolutely love it.
The greenkeepers have made a great course even better in recent years and it’s become a real stunner. The greens are superb and really undulating which makes pretty much every putt a tricky one!!
If you get a chance to play here, take it!!!

Welcoming gem
We have wanted to play this course for some time and it was worth the wait. An old course that has added complexities to hide from the lack of distances on holes. The greens are superb, bunkers in great condition and the all round playing conditions were good. Well worth the visit.(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 79 Handicap: 12.1)

Well worth a visit
Lovely course. Starts and ends with pars 3 in the grounds of the clubhouse. Rest of the course (which is across the road) is pretty open . Two or three very long par 4's and only two par 5s (both on the back 9).On the whole very well kept with excellent greens and undulating fairways.
Clubhouse is wonderfully old. Service is excellent.

I would say the course is not long by accepted standards but provides a stimulating experience due to the well planned layout and is immaculately maintained. Start and finish with a PAR 3 in view of the magnificent clubhouse, which provides a friendly centre piece to the countryside. Therein are two bars, a stone lounge and large traditional lounge in which to relax and boast about the one or two shots you made during the day. Excellent!

Fantastic start and end with par threes 1st and 18 within the grounds of the old hunting lodge. Rest of the course is interesting too.

The club has been working very hard to improve the course over the last couple of years and it has really paid off. Not a long course but interesting and demanding. The clubhouse and restaurant are excellent. Friendly staff and good amenities. Well worth a look.

This course is very tight and on a windy day, you could hit your golf ball anywhere. However, if you hit fairways, you are not guaranteed a good score as the greens, when wet, can be very unpredictable. Clubhouse has a good mixture of old and modern facilities and the staff are very helpful.
