What the club says: This well established 18 hole course extends over 46 acres of beautiful parkland with open fairways on the front 9 and more demanding tree-lined on the back 9. Open to the public, this par 69 course offers the perfect challenge to beginners and regulars alike, whilst experts can brush up on strokes and techniques.
Most Helpful Review
Cannot understand those who are complaining about the course, it's a lovely and in places tricky narrow tree lined nightmare if you don't hit straight and true. Greens are well kept and the first and last hole are a real pleasure. I suspect those who say it's a average course spent most of the time in the well established tree line rough. Can really improve your game and all for a fiver. - Feb 2 2017

Cheap to play. Can almost always get a tee time. Some hard holes due to narrow fairways
Great little course, excellent value for money, nice challenging holes, trees and a dew gullies, with friendly helpful staff.

This course has the potential to be a cracking challenging course, but it needs some work. £11 for a round on a Saturday is a bargain wherever you play, but there is a reason for the low price. There is no definition between the fairways and rough, leading to extra time looking for a ball in the fairway.
The layout is good - the front 9 is tight and a 3 wood is your friend off the tee. The back 9 is more open and the driver can come out of the bag. With some work and investment this could be a brilliant course. Staff were friendly and helpful and seeing as we have had lots of rain it was more than playable.

I'm a member pay ?47 a month. If you are over 60 it's ?31 a month. It's quite a tight course with lots of hazards. Very good to learn on. They try very well to maintain the course but it gets a lot of play. Fairways are nice greens could be better. Look to book on tee off times if your not a member it's cheaper than paying at the club

Greens and fairways in good nick for the time of year.
Also good to see well-maintained bunkers and works going on to improve a few tee boxes.
A shame that not all people playing the course don't do their bit and repair divots and pitch marks!

Not a bad course for a knock about quite easy but for £8 who can complain

Found it hard going being a narrow course and being my first time. The course handbook was well worth the investment and I still refer to it. Well done whoever ????. Thoroughly enjoyed it and I will be back.
really enjoyed this. Great course. greens where very fast..............................

Friendly and very cheap (played a 2 ball on Sunday morning for £15 each). Course is relatively simple, without too much challenge. Tee areas need some work and course was very hard and dry following the recent hot weather. It's nothing special, but certainly can't complain for the price.

Superb golf - Played having used teetimes.co.uk, it cost us £4.99 each for a 10am tee time on a Monday morning, absolute bargain.
Greens, fairways and bunkers were very good, the tees needed some work but you tee the ball up anyway.
It was busy, but we managed a nice steady pace all the way around, even though we were a two ball behind a couple of four balls.
Well worth playing and there are some tight tee shots that require some thinking about which club to use.
Two odd things about this course, 1) No fringe around the small greens and, 2) The foundations of an old manor house sit between two fairways.
A nice pro shop and there is a driving range.
All-in-all a very nice setup and well worth playing.
