Well looked after course
The course was in fantastic condition, greens were amazing really quick but can’t complement green keepers enough! Bunkers need work but understandable with COVID they weren’t that great.(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 86 Handicap: 17.5)

Nice gentle course worth a visit it's my local and I always enjoy a round there. Outside the lockdown the the range and clubhouse facilities are very friendly, tasty and very good value

Course is fair with open fairways and generous greens. Therefore, suitable for high handicappers. Clear the club has make improvements on the 18 hole course so £21.00 on a Saturday afternoon is OK value.

Greens and fairways in good condition, tees not bad either. Tee'd off 4;30.groups went off before but pace was very good

Good Course shame about the Clubhouse
Played here on a twilight ticket starting at 5.45. Nice course & in great condition for a much used public course. Unfortunately though on finishing our round and walking into the clubhouse at 9.35pm we were told sorry, last orders have gone bar shuts at 10. The course was still open. The driving range was still open. Even the club shop was still open. But apparently you can't get a drink after half past nine in the evening. Common sense clearly not a strong suit. Shame because it's not a bad little course for an round in the evening. Sadly I won't be back for a twilight though. Not with bar staff like that.(Round played: Jun 2019 - Score: 95 Handicap: 19.8)

Good course
Course in really good condition, greens could be grown a bit more as they were really quick. Fairways could do with a bit of manicuring but understandable for this time of year.(Round played: Jun 2019 - Score: 93 Handicap: 16.9)

Much better!
Played Coombe Wood three times in 2018 when it was showing worrying signs of lack of maintenance and a ?tired? look generally. Clearly things have improved particularly on the greens and surrounds. The course is tight with little manoeuvre for expansion of tee boxes so already thee is wear and tear in a number of places. Generally welcoming and bargains to be had on twilight deals and include meal vouchers as part of these. As a local course I will be playing again but with a watch on weather because a long hot summer will seriously take its toll here.Reviewer Rating

Fairways well mown, but greens uneven and bumpy. Course is trickier than it appears lots of side slopes. Good value for £10.

The course was I good shape for April, the greens are firm and good to put on no temp tees we just got stuck behind a slow 4 ball that was unable to paly through(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 84 Handicap: 15.9)
