What the club says: The 18 hole is a par 70 park land course with many distinguishing features. The course is set up to provide a fair test of golf but still maintains a challenge for the advanced player.

In the summer months the mature parkland surroundings and superb views over London provide excellent scenery. Throughout the winter months the course offers a reliable golfing experience as the drainage is second to none, meaning the fairways stay dry and very rarely have to resort to temporary greens.

Blowing the cobwebs away

Still winter tees but course generally in very good condition. The greens a bit slow but the weather for the past week has meant temperatures around 7 degrees so not drying the course well.

The oaks.

The course is a very badly maintained course in the winter. Fairways are bare and the pins never get moved so the area around the hole becomes bare.

Usually really enjoy playing oaks but the course isn't playing the best at the moment. Understand that dry conditions make it difficult to maintain but greens need watering at least. Pace of play was very slow took 4 1/2 hours to get round and looking at other golfers the standard has dropped in terms of attire and suitability. Might just be bcos it's school holidays but course was playing much nicer and in better nick earlier in the year and beginning of the summer

Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Driving range was busy and nice to see so many young people there. Played the 18 hole course which was in really good condition, managed a 2 on the third which set me up for a decent round. Will come back definitely. I've given a low score for the practice facilities due to the un-puttable putting green

9 Hole Course

For the most part it was a good short course. Majority of the holes are well maintained. The greens were okay, the 9th green had a fair amount of damage which looks like it had been repaired but the damage was extensive enough to affect any putt over it.. For 15 pounds mid week it was a good course and I plan to return as the staff were very friendly and I could tell that the conditions were being looked into. Very good value for money.

Will be back

Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Surrey, The Oaks Golf Centre offers an exhilarating mix of challenge and charm. My first experience on its greens was a rollercoaster of emotions, marked by moments of brilliance and unexpected blunders. The course's layout, with its undulating fairways and strategically placed hazards, tested my skills to the limit. Despite some shockingly bad shots, the impeccable course maintenance and scenic surroundings provided a welcome distraction. The friendly atmosphere and helpful staff added to the overall enjoyment of the day. The Oaks Golf Centre is a must-visit for both seasoned golfers and newcomers seeking a memorable round.

Hadn't been round here in a while. Very friendly in the pro shop. Knocked it round at twilight which was excellent value at a little over £20 on a Sunday. Pretty dark by time I was done due to a bit of slow play ahead of me but otherwise fine. Course in decent nick given lack of recent rain. Greens were decent if a little slow. Enjoyable overall.

Haven't played the course for 18 months and was surprised to see the state of some of the paths between the holes. They could do with some more stones to level them up. Overall the course was in good condition, but didn't see many improvements.

Played the par 3 course - much drier than when I last played and better maintained than a few years ago. Great to see so many people using the facilities - the range plus the 18 hole course - people of all ages and abilities were there.

It would be nice if some of the tee boxes weren't on a slope but other than that the course was in good condition

Due to a lack of care from the owners, the greenkeepers turn up once a fortnight, the greens are absolutely battered from all the bad weather and never once did they close them. It's a shame as it was once a decent course.
