Solid public course with good practice facilities
Played as a one ball early February in dry sunny conditions late Saturday morning. Pro shop staff friendly, helpful and offered to keep shoes due to no changing rooms available. Trackman range and putting green with short game area super facilities to warm up.Course in good condition albeit it had been dry for a while. Tee mats the entire course but did not subtract from enjoyment of play on a well maintained public course, greens, fairway and rough all in good-fair condition. Pace of play very good given peak time booking and other players friendly on course. No remarkable holes except downhill long par 3 however a solid course design gives a variety of challenges.
Only real drawback is 18 hole which runs 45 degrees to driving range which has too low side nets, meaning dozens of range balls on hole and no small chance of being hit/losing a ball from a good shot. Solid but perhaps not excellent value for money.

Decent
Had been raining all week and the course played very well for this time of the year. Not many mate mostly par 3s that were. Greens were great and whoever pissed off the green keepers, thank you. Some of those pins were ridiculous hahahaReviewer Rating

Just getting better
Omg just played 18 holes at the oaks for the second time this year and wow well worth the money great condition greens a decent speed but true and bump free, the whole place was very well presented the course was busy but felt like there was no rush! Cheap!
We played Tuesday the 3rd of October.. the course was in reasonable condition for the time of year , very busy day had to wait on some tees for groups to clear the fairway and greens, greens were in good order fast and fun to play on ! Tee boxes a little worn out but if the amount of golf is anything to go by I’m not surprised! Overall great place to come and play for the price we Paid would recommend and would play again soonReviewer Rating

Good value for money.
Course was in good condition even with the onslaught of autumn. Being retired we liked the reduction for 'mature golfers ?(their words not mine) and the fact that they had a membership category for people who only wanted to play in the afternoon. What an excellent idea. The only downside at the moment is the bar closes at 16:30, so if you tee off any time after 12:30, you can't use the clubhouse or get a beer.Reviewer Rating

great gold course

Post lockdown not as good as it was
Played here numerous times, as has good drainage and good course for a medium/ high handicapper, but on last visit was disappointed with the state of the greens. Appreciate challenges faced by all courses during lockdown(s) but other local courses are in a much better conditionReviewer Rating

Course was bad in places
The course was very muddy in places on the fairways, but the greens were generally ok! However, to counter that, the cost of playing a round is not prohibitive, so one cannot complain to that extent, as keeping the course pristine (through the winter) would undoubtedly increase the round cost by at least ?7 I would have thought.Reviewer Rating

Greens bad
Awful greens all year round . Shame. Clubhouse not relaxing . Staff lovely though . Could be excellent but don’t need to be as huge number of older members happy with state of course . If sorted out greens & clubhouse could be a hidden gem so close to central London .Reviewer Rating
