Hart common is my local course and though not a member, I play there regularly. It is a great course, especially compared to other courses in the area. during the winter, when there's not so much run out, some holes play very long and are a real test. In the some, when the fairways have dried out and the run out is there, theres plenty of hazards to catch you - it's not as simple as just grabbing the driver and ripping, even though most holes tempt you to!
The best thing about Hart common though is the greens. They are simply brilliant. Very well maintained and consistent and still play well even if they not long been aired or treated.
There's a reasonably priced range to warm up and a small but equally well maintained putting area which mirrors what you'll get on the course.
I've not played some of the posher and pricier clubs in the area and tbh, I don't feel the need to!

Always a great course, always playable even when there has been very wet weather. Where else can you play off normal tees and greens throughout the winter, you've got to tip your hat to the ground staff, well done.

FANTASTIC , WHAT AN EXCELLENT COURSE . THE GREENS WERE SUPERB AND THE WIDE FAIRWAYS WERE MAGIC. A very well maintained course which has obviously had a lot done during the winter to improve what was already a great course. Several challenging holes for all handicappers let alone a high handicapper like myself. Always enjoy playing here

Very good course. It was wet under foot, but it had been raining alot before i played. The tees and greens were in very good condition. A well layed out course and i will be returning. I played really badly and need to go back and take about 20 shots of my score.

Best value golf course ever played. One of the very few golf courses that you need to think about your drive positionand distance. Bunkers are amazing. Placed in the right places. They aren't just large holes filled with sand, they are the real deal. Greens are certainly well designed and are just magnificent condition. Played today (4/07/2022). Wish we could have had a chance fir food and drink. But please don't stop what you are doing as a club. If something isn't broken, don't fix it. The course is great, keeping that way if you can. Will play again and again hopefully.

Tough Test
Real test of your golfing skills, especially when the wind blows (which strangely it always seems too on the back 9)?..nice mix of holes and it seems to play a lot longer than it is. Best breakfasts on our golf society rota too! And always great value for money.Reviewer Rating

Great Value
If this course was closer to home I would join it. Great practice facilities including a pitch and putt course. Greens were in good condition considering the amount of recent heavy rainfall - although people should really take more care in repairing their pitch marks when the greens are soft. Had a nice meal in the club house afterwards as well.(Round played: Aug 2019 - Score: 92 Handicap: 12.5)
