What the club says: There is plenty of room on our course for you to stay in play and be rewarded for doing so. Miss our broad fairways and you will be in the rough, some of which is almost links like, thin wispy grab your club type, other areas it is just plain thick rough. Our greens are gaining a reputation for being some of the best around everybody enjoys putting on them. Bunkers and enhanced natural water hazards will keep you thinking about your golf all the way through your round. Club selection is not likely to be the same each time you visit as we are blessed with a breeze that rarely blows in the same direction or strength two days running! There has been a great deal of thought, work and effort that has gone into making sure our members and visitors are able to enjoy our course all year round. Come and enjoy a round soon

Most Helpful Review

Hart common is my local course and though not a member, I play there regularly. It is a great course, especially compared to other courses in the area. during the winter, when there's not so much run out, some holes play very long and are a real test. In the some, when the fairways have dried out and the run out is there, theres plenty of hazards to catch you - it's not as simple as just grabbing the driver and ripping, even though most holes tempt you to!
The best thing about Hart common though is the greens. They are simply brilliant. Very well maintained and consistent and still play well even if they not long been aired or treated.
There's a reasonably priced range to warm up and a small but equally well maintained putting area which mirrors what you'll get on the course.
I've not played some of the posher and pricier clubs in the area and tbh, I don't feel the need to! - Apr 6 2016

Superb Greens
What a lovely course. The greens were in superb condition for November. A well laid out course with decent tee boxes and fair fairways that gives a chance to higher handicappers while still presenting a challenge to the lower handicapper. A little bit boggy but it was November. My only beef was the poor quality of the paths around the course. It looks like these are used by course maintenance and are well rutted and full of puddles some deeper than others. Fix that Hart Common and this will be one of the finest courses in the North West !

Course layout is good & the greens faster than they look. ..the course had taken a lot of rain over the last week & if you left the fairways & greens it was a bit of a mud bath. ..definitely play when it's been dryer next time.
