What the club says: The fairways of the 6,963 yard Duke's course are lined with pine, silver birch and chestnut trees. The famous third hole is framed by rhododendron bushes and has recently been voted in the World's Top 500 Holes by Golf Magazine. Heather, bracken and gorse add to the charm of the course as well as the natural hazards of each hole.

What a course!!
Must be one of the best courses in the UK. So beautiful, and a great challenge (probably a bit too much for a high handicapper!)My only one complaint were whilst the greens were challenging, they were also very slow? I would have expected a championship course like this to be like putting on glass?

I've wanted to play Woburn for years. I found the course really challenging, with the greens in particular difficult to read. We played it coming into the Spring so course condition for the time of year was excellent but likely very different from Summer. We're planning to go back in the Summer!Only negative is that 2, 3 and 4 balls all went out at the same time, and as a 4 ball having members in smaller groups on your back did dent the experience. (In case you think we may have been slow, we were round 18 holes, with a sit down halfway hut where we let 2 groups through, in 4 hours 20!)

Marquess - Play it!
A beautiful course sculpted in between the plentiful trees and slops of the Woburn. The fairways, greens, Tee boxes and bunkers are as you would expect all perfect, with the greens running smooth and true. A challenging course that offers both attacking possibilities and holes where you need to think about your shot choice carefully! Not a cheap course to play, but a real treat if you get the chance!Reviewer Rating

World class courses, staff amazing, go there !
We saved our pennies to afford this world class venue and waited 6 months for it to arrive. The weather was superb which meant we got the best of this venue. The Dukes course, world class there is no need for other words, just absolute immaculate manicured world class golf course. Marquess lovely, longer and more open and immaculate too. We did not afford the Duchess but heard it was even better than the Marquess if you like a tight, thinking course. Club house superb, staff outstanding and such a aura of class around the place, I would go there again if we could guarantee the weather. Yes its expensive, but you can feel why, its been done properly and lives and breathes proper golf. The Dukes course, every hole is its own tranquil island of golf as you can't see any other holes when you play each one. If you can get a good weekend of weather and you want to play proper course, this is one you need to go to.Reviewer Rating
