A must play course,
Had a brilliant day 36 holes, the marquess course long and wide not for the short hitters, the Greens ran true perfect, the duchess shorter and tight course suited me better tree lined fairways the average golfer can reach the greens in 2 , if you slice then don't bother to play the course you will lose lots of golf balls the Marquess would suit you better. Birds of prey in the trees nesting you can get really close, lovely bar and food you can sit outside along side the very large practice putting green that is absolutely perfect don't miss visiting this wonderful place.(Round played: Aug 2020 - Score: 87 Handicap: 12.5)

Denis's Invite Day
Invited to play the course with a Member and really enjoyed the day...the most open of the 3 courses at Woburn so I played okay on the day but the greens were very difficult(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 84 Handicap: 10.8)

Great course but not worth the money
We normally go to spain, but keep getting wet so we thought we would splash the cash on a round at the Marques as one of our four rounds. We thought the course was great, well kept but the greens were very difficult for first timers. Our expectations were high paying ?169 each for the round and overall we were disappointed. Sounds picky but there was not enough signage and the holes could have had boards up with a little bit more info about the hole rather than a small plaque on the ground on each tee. The bins were cheap plastic ones. There was no towels on the ball cleaners. No seeded earth for the divots or receptacles for all the broken tees. No food buggie etc. There was no one in front for at least two holes but when we arrived at the 10th there were two groups waiting to tee off. We think they were a corporate group meeting up at the halfway house. How is that allowed as we had to wait then for about 20 mins. Normally we wouldn't care but these little things but they should have been better on a course of this stature. Many courses we have played far out weigh woburn and your paying much less.Reviewer Rating

Marquess Course
I had been to Woburn a few times to watch Pro Tournaments - most recently the Women’s British Open - and always thought it would be fantastic to play here, so was delighted to be asked to take part in a charity golf day on the same course, just 3 weeks later.Obviously it looks a lot different without the grandstands, but imagine the tall pines that line most holes as spectators and you could almost be playing on Tour.... until you reach the green and realise that your game is nowhere near that level!
Understanding those greens is key to playing well on this course. But the Pro’s have caddies who know this and they are able to send their ball to the right place. If you’re above the hole, 3 putts are always a danger as it’s hard to read the subtle breaks which can send your ball way off track, or off the green one time for me!
After the round I heard someone say they had 15 x 3-putts, which made us all feel better, but it does make you realise just how talented the Professionals are.... although on the way to winning the WBO, Hinako Shibuno did 4-putt the 3rd hole in her final round!
Woburn is everything I expected and more. Yes, it costs more to play here but this was a truly memorable day, superbly organised by a charitable trust that I’m very pleased to have been able to support.

Golf Heaven
We played the Dukes and Marquess courses and found them suitably testing and in great condition. These courses play long - soft fairways but receptive greens. These courses are so beautiful to play that you will want to go back again - we do! The service at all stages, reception, bar, pro-shop, restaurant is outstanding and a standard for others to chase. This really is the all round great resort.Reviewer Rating
