AVOID AVOID AVOID
Played an open comp here in May 2019. Layout is good but the greens have to be the worst in the North West. My back garden is better! Finished in 2nd place and despite various promises, calls, emails, texts still not received my prizes over 5 months later. Disgraceful.Reviewer Rating

tees fine; fairways very poor in a lot of places, terrible in a handful. greens very poor, slow, fluffy and very bobbly. Can't think of any that were decent. Course needs a lot of attention, lot of bare earth and vehicle tracks on fairways where bushes may have been removed? One hole closed and a practice green put in play - but no advance warning from pro shop or on course.

No bar/restaurant facility available and this was at 10am, no bacon rolls at the halfway house "Not allowed to sell them" we we're told "It's a Jewish club", no mention of this on their website or that of uk-golfguide.com
Greens covered in small branches and twigs, no greens staff anywhere.
course very good test if you forget a lot of the fairways are parallell, dog excrement next to the greens as people walking their dogs between 12th and 16th fairways.
Never-the-less a letter of complaint has gone off to the secretary.

Expensive to play
This is a nice little course but the fees are soooo expensive, after talking to a few members we have decided to join stand just around the corner, more of a golfers course with course management needed, membership is near £900 and £30 just for around of golf at whitefield, really shouldnt be more than £800 here and tops £20 for guests,ok the par 3s are tough but 5 par 3s is just to many on a course with only 1 par 5 on the hole course, this is more of a pensioners course hence the lack of long holes,Reviewer Rating

Course was in good condition but was much too hilly
Golfers with walking difficulties would struggle round this course

Testing Par3s
Played several times, always think Whitefield has the hardest set of Par 3s than most courses I've played. Greens weren't the best & as part of a society, ?35 for a round and a sausage barm. was over-priced.Reviewer Rating

Tough day out, quite a challenge
I found this course a tough one, quite tight in places. The greens were pretty fast and in great condition. Having only played it once I would have to play again to give a more accurate review but playing off 22 it was a challenge. I will go back to have another goReviewer Rating

Letter states that apparently work being done this week to enable tining and short cut + flattening so maybe end of May great.
Other than that course nice.
