What The Club Says
Bury is one of the premier courses in the North Manchester area and is located between Whitefield and Bury on the A56 about 5 minutes north of junction 17 of the M60 ring road. This par 70 semi-moorland course is not long at 6088 yards but is considered to be a very good test of golf.
The course has improved dramatically over the last few years and is an absolute pleasure to play, every hole is different, however many times you play it is never boring and requires a different approach dependant on wind and weather conditions.

Nice course worth playing
Always enjoy a round at Bury GC, friendly welcome in pro shop and clubhouse, nice food. Decent practice facilities. Course in decent condition, greens true not too fast. Quite a walk round with it's ups and downs but not too exhausting. Well worth playing.Reviewer Rating

Great course
Great course with good variety of holes. Quite a lot of maintenance work was taking place but understandable at this time of year.Reviewer Rating

Great late October Round
Great course with some tough holes but a wide variety. Greens are challenging but in excellent condition. Overall the course was in great condition, just remember to take a rake with you, which are available. Don't know why not out on the course.Reviewer Rating

Not too long, hilly and a few blinds holes
First time I played Bury. £30 as a visitor is on the higher side. I liked the course, helped maybe by playing ok. No water and some fairly forgiving fairways which is ideal for me (20 hcap). The greens were the most disappointing aspect, they were being treated , so everyone was bobbling along - could not have been worse really so surprised we paid the full amount. There are quite a few blind tee shots and some blind shots to greens, not helpful for a first timer. All in all though, I would go back.(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 87 Handicap: 19.9)
