Course in excellent condition considering the time of year. Fairways were free of leaves and well mown and the greens were very well looked after.
The course is relatively short but accuracy required on some tight fairways.

Nice short course

First visit to re-modelled course. Condition fine in dry conditions. greens good with just a little bit of edging suffering from the recent dry weather,. Rough punishing especially a problem if not familiar with the course as there are a lot of unseen shots required. . a fairly tight course requiring some good gameplay and accuracy. Several tees bare and requiring attention but didnt detract from an enjoyable outing. Well worth a visit as it's not long or too hilly especially in the warm weather.

Worth Visiting

This is a short course just under 5000 yards of the yellows with a number of hills but is by no means easy especially of my 15 handicap.
The fairways are tight and there are a some blind shots.
However the course was in excellent condition with some interesting holes. The staff werefriendly and would certainly recommend it to others.

Fantastic course with a new layout well worth visiting

My first visit since the new course layout opened. The new design has really enhanced the already enjoyable course which boasts fantastic views and plenty of variety throughout. Such a welcoming, friendly club. Phil in the club shop took the time to talk me through the full new course layout at arrival, and went above and beyond to locate me on the course after a member had found my wallet. (Thank you all!) I highly recommend a round at Prestwich Golf Club.

Superb course, amazing renovation

There’s been an Incredible redevelopment job on this course from May 2020 and it looks or plays nothing like it used to. I used to play here a few years ago but moved out of town. Got my first game on the new course there today and it really is excellent. Dodgy weather which is par for course, but the new layout has some of the best designed greens I’ve ever played on. It’s a lot different to how it used to be - the slightly more bonkers holes (which I always used to like actually, but not to everyone’s tastes) which could ruin your round have been removed, replaced by some short but spectacular risk and reward holes. Lots of changes in elevation, well designed bunkering and some amazing green complexes keep it interesting. Don’t let the lengths on the scorecard fool you, you’ve got to play incredibly tight to keep a low score on the short par 4s, but everyone’s got a chance. Eagle opportunities for the best players, but plenty of decent chances for a par for part-timers (just make sure you’ve practiced your putting). This is a really fun course, the greenskeepers and management have done a great job. I would highly recommend. My new favourite course In the bury/north Manchester area.

Small tight course with lovely views, just developing into 18 holes again. Some cross overs and not played at weekend so would imagine could get a little congested

Great greens

Great greens that are fast and true, some are quite undulating and require some care if putting down hill. Also The definition from tee to green was also very good. Apparently some extensive redevelopment work is due to start which I was told will get rid of a couple of blind shots that let the course down. The club house has one of the best seating areas I've been on, overlooking the course and in in the sun

Too many crossovers. On some holes, you were hitting over tees and greens! Alot of waiting around for areas to clear. Somewhat hilly with blind shots. I like to see where I am going and not aiming for marker posts at the top of the hill. It was a nice sunny day and in good condition but too many holes in a small area of land. According to one girl I spoke to, it is being rearranged this winter.

A lovely little course. In fantastic condition for the time of year, the greens were excellent considering the rain of the previous day.
The welcome in the Pro Shop was fantastic, the pro even walked out to the course with me to explain where to go. I also spoke to the green keeper to congratulate him on the course, it sounds like they've got some good plans for the future.
Yes there are a few cross overs & a couple of blind holes, but they really aren't a major problem. Especially for £7.50!
It's a good test & I look forward to playing it again in the summer of 2017.

A haphazard layout on the middle of the course means tee boxes and greens are in close proximity on many of the holes, meaning that you need to be very aware at all times of other people playing.

Visibility is difficult from many of the tee boxes and with no bells you simply have to rely on judgement when the group in front are clear.

All this said for a short course it will be a test, and overall an enjoyable round, the pro was very friendly and was forthcoming with advice and for a non-member we felt very welcome.

Course nice but not flowing easily, a lot of walking back for tees and in a couple of instances crossing roads, walking down paths about 80 yds between tees. Not easy to follow. A couple of awkward cross overs that are ok if it's quiet but I would not like on a busy day. Clubhouse and people very friendly.

A hilly start and end to the course. Glad I only used a pencil bag. The course itself is playing fine, although some of the greens are in a bobbly state. The 13th was heavily sanded which made putting difficult. All round though for the price I paid, it was an enjoyable round of golf

Went out today at 11:04 and the course was in fantastic condition given the recent weather conditions. There were a few boggy patches but they could only be found if you strayed wide of the fairway/green. Two holes were closed and there were two winter greens to play but condition of the other holes more than made up for it.
The course is very hilly and provides a great workout. Thoroughly enjoyed the day. Credit to the green keepers.
