Definitely Manchester’s hidden gem!!!!
Nice welcome in the pro shop and the big guy gave us some great advice, it must be said it is a short course but a very testing course, you can’t go a slash it round, if your wide you usually lose your ball, best recommendation would be think before you take your drive, most holes are best with an iron off the tee. The greens were in superb condition, true and again very testing.
Although a short course lots of hills that make it interesting so was glad to get to the 19th for some lovely food and great staff (good price for beer aswell!!!).
Would recommend this place to any player with any handicap or for a group great day out.

Superb course, amazing renovation
There’s been an Incredible redevelopment job on this course from May 2020 and it looks or plays nothing like it used to. I used to play here a few years ago but moved out of town. Got my first game on the new course there today and it really is excellent. Dodgy weather which is par for course, but the new layout has some of the best designed greens I’ve ever played on. It’s a lot different to how it used to be - the slightly more bonkers holes (which I always used to like actually, but not to everyone’s tastes) which could ruin your round have been removed, replaced by some short but spectacular risk and reward holes. Lots of changes in elevation, well designed bunkering and some amazing green complexes keep it interesting. Don’t let the lengths on the scorecard fool you, you’ve got to play incredibly tight to keep a low score on the short par 4s, but everyone’s got a chance. Eagle opportunities for the best players, but plenty of decent chances for a par for part-timers (just make sure you’ve practiced your putting). This is a really fun course, the greenskeepers and management have done a great job. I would highly recommend. My new favourite course In the bury/north Manchester area.Reviewer Rating

Fantastic course with a new layout well worth visiting
My first visit since the new course layout opened. The new design has really enhanced the already enjoyable course which boasts fantastic views and plenty of variety throughout. Such a welcoming, friendly club. Phil in the club shop took the time to talk me through the full new course layout at arrival, and went above and beyond to locate me on the course after a member had found my wallet. (Thank you all!) I highly recommend a round at Prestwich Golf Club.Reviewer Rating

Very Nice Course
Small tight course with lovely views, just developing into 18 holes again. Some cross overs and not played at weekend so would imagine could get a little congested(Round played: Aug 2019 - Score: 91 Handicap: 27.6)

Great greens
Great greens that are fast and true, some are quite undulating and require some care if putting down hill. Also The definition from tee to green was also very good. Apparently some extensive redevelopment work is due to start which I was told will get rid of a couple of blind shots that let the course down. The club house has one of the best seating areas I've been on, overlooking the course and in in the sunReviewer Rating

I haven't played here since I was a junior member 30 years ago but thoroughly enjoyed it.
The course and greens were in good condition and every tee was well signposted contrary to some other reviews.
There are some blind second shots if you do not hit the ball too far but a quick check and it's no problem.
Having moved back to the area I will definitely return for a few more games, well done Prestwich golf club & staff.

Mr John Brookes
A course where you need to think your way around, some tight fairways where you need to be straight, wickedly placed bunkers, water hazards, etc. The greens were like lightening and really challenging with some pin positions that were beyond belief. It was quite hilly in parts, the only buggies we saw were small individual ones. All this formed a first class defense of the course. We were made to feel very welcome, really nice food, drinks and service at the bar was very good. It was our first time there and we will definitely be back. Sooner, rather than later.Reviewer Rating

Picturesque parklands course
Prestwich is a very friendly yet challenging course. Most drives are tight and my driver only came out twice. The course was in good condition with the greens quite slow although there had been quite a lot of rain recently which may have contributed.Reviewer Rating

Nice short course
First visit to re-modelled course. Condition fine in dry conditions. greens good with just a little bit of edging suffering from the recent dry weather,. Rough punishing especially a problem if not familiar with the course as there are a lot of unseen shots required. . a fairly tight course requiring some good gameplay and accuracy. Several tees bare and requiring attention but didnt detract from an enjoyable outing. Well worth a visit as it's not long or too hilly especially in the warm weather.Reviewer Rating
