What The Club Says
Whitefield, situated just north of Manchester, close to J17 of the M60, was originally laid out in 1932 by Tom Renouf, golf course designer and professional at the nearby Manchester Golf Club. The undulating parkland course is noted for its spectacular par threes.

Challenging Golf Course
Society Golf Day. The golf course is excellent. The layout is challenging as there are 4 long par 3 holes with danger everywhere. The golf course is tree lined with no rough in the wooded areas so you can always find a way out without being doubly penalised which is always a good thing. The best feature has to be the greens, they are excellent, not one bobble, a true surface. There are a few hills to climb so be aware, especially at the 11th & 18th, Overall a challenging golf course with a difficult back 9, which is something that isn't normally the case with a par 68 and slope 117 rating. The staff are very accommodating too, with excellent hospitality and food.Reviewer Rating
