Fantastic Greens
The course is in great condition and a brilliant test of golf - if you are slightly off line then you will definitely be in trouble!(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 81 Handicap: 8.6)

Top 100 - says it all
Excellent test of golf - if the tee shot is not working - it will be a tough round. Greens in exceptional condition - very fast but true - subtle borrows.(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 87 Handicap: 13.2)

Fantastic course
This is a proper championship course the fairways are long with proper bunkers in difficult locations, the green had some sand on them but still very quick, it is a great course to play if you can afford it.(Round played: Apr 2019 - Score: 92 Handicap: 15.6)

If you are not driving off the tee well, it is very tough. Avoid the heather. Greens fantastic.(Round played: Sep 2018 - Score: 93 Handicap: 17)

Tough, championship, classic course
I was playing here as a freebie so value for money for me was excellent. Having played many top courses all over the world, this was a very unique experience playing a very flat heathland course. It was hard to gain perspective of the hole from the tee and fairway but then that is what makes it a tough championship course. Conditioning was good, the bunkers in particular were fantastic. Greens had recently been top dressed so weren't as quickl as expected. It is not a classically pretty course but it feels very tranquil and you know you are walking in the footsteps of golfing greatness and history. Well worth playing if you can.Reviewer Rating

Gotta play this..
Another top 50 course ticked off my list. Luckily invite from Golf Monthly made this affordable. Love everything about this course apart from the heather which is extremely punishing.(Round played: May 2018 - Score: 99 Handicap: 19.9)

Great Course
Very good course as the weather has been very wet for weeks but no temp tees /greens some water on the course, overall it is a great course(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 98 Handicap: 17.4)

Dry , unwatered fairways at WH.....lightning greens : upside down bowls......heather an absolute killer, no shot from this , don't attempt it

Ryder Cup History

Superb heathland layout. A classic course that is a much play. Excellent condition with fast undulating greens and carpet like fairways.
