Kingswood was designed in the 1920’s by the five times open champion, James Braid, and comprises 6,900 yards of golfing experience This mature course, one of the leading courses in Surrey, has undergone extensive re-design and construction under the guidance of Howard Swan, recognised course architect for James Braid designed courses.

Winter golf
Front 9 is tight and packed with bunkers so accuracy off the tee is key. Back 9 starts to open up and is arguably more scenic and interesting. Played after heavy rainfall and the course was boggy in places but generally playable, with a couple of temporary greens. Clubhouse and facilities were of a high standard and will look forward to returning in better conditions.Reviewer Rating

Stunning Course & Facilities

A little gem
Tucked away down a private road bordered by big houses this 1924 course is lovely. Fairways lined with mature trees. 6,218 yards off the yellows. Nice club house (bit of a warren) but nicely appointed and good staff. Bunkers were excellent - there are quite a few. A few dog legs but a very interesting and enjoyable course. Only negative was the difference between the practice green and the actual greens on the couse. Practice green was medium fast, greens were medium. Practice net could be better set up as the ball kept trying to escape past me as the curtain is so close. There is a driving range also but did not get there. Overall one to definitely revisit.Reviewer Rating
