Its silly to complain about 2 wet holes in november after 2 solid days of consistently heavy rain. My only ‘complaint’ about this course is maybe the greens could have been designed with a tad more break and undulation. Overall a brilliant course

Terrible course
Let me start by saying 8 had booked to play but one had to drop out on the day.the pro in the shop was adamant we paid extra for having a 3 ball instead of a 4 ball he also said the course was in great condition. We paid and teed off the first hole was completely waterlogged and the rest of the course wasn't much better. I went to ring the bell to let golfers behind on the 3rd it was safe to go but the bell was on the floor. After our round we had a drink in the spike bar and we were told by a member to remove our cap . It had been a very cold day and the hospitality we were shown was nothing short of frosty.£28.50 for there is £28.50 wasted in my opinionReviewer Rating

Immaculate
A quality golf course. Always in immaculate condition. There isn't a bad hole on this course, every hole has a little test or two to get you thinking.
As to a previous comment, I wouldn't call 4 blind drives too many!
Great reception in the shop & the clubhouse.
A MUST play course.

Excellent course.
Really enjoyed our day at Vale Royal Abbey golf club. The course it`s self is in excellent condition especially the greens which are fast and true.
The overall facilities are spot on.
All the staff from the lads in the Pro`s shop to the girls running the bar/food were friendly and helpful.
Would highly recommend a visit to Vale R A.

Utterly Brilliant
What a fantastic place to play golf! Fairways wide open, rough not long enough to hide your ball and slow down a round. Bunkers EVERYWHERE and big bunkers!!!!The greens had been hollow tined the week I played and had healed up nicely and there was only a bit of SAND, take note our greenkeepers, SAND left on them. Perfect roll and FAST! Be careful when putting, read the green first. A few walks between holes. Toilets half way round but you need the code, so get from the Pro before setting out. Watch out for the 8th? with the lake on the left hand side. Play to the ridge on the right otherwise you may catch the steep slope off the left of the green and....lost ball. Top notch course. Give yourself a treat and go and play it. I paid £20 for the round due to it being "maintenance week". BARGIN !
