Terrible course
Let me start by saying 8 had booked to play but one had to drop out on the day.the pro in the shop was adamant we paid extra for having a 3 ball instead of a 4 ball he also said the course was in great condition. We paid and teed off the first hole was completely waterlogged and the rest of the course wasn't much better. I went to ring the bell to let golfers behind on the 3rd it was safe to go but the bell was on the floor. After our round we had a drink in the spike bar and we were told by a member to remove our cap . It had been a very cold day and the hospitality we were shown was nothing short of frosty.£28.50 for there is £28.50 wasted in my opinionReviewer Rating

Too many blind drives, heavy rough even in between the wooded area's. But bizarrely and the worst part, were large multiple bunkers smack bang in the middle of many fairways. For the price, there are many much better courses in the area, for a third of the cost. One to miss in my view.

VRGC
played the course in November 2021 wet day but the course was in great condition, greens running true and hard to read too many 3 putts on the card, great back drop to the 18th would not look out of place at the open, pro shop very small not very well stocked, practice facilities, no drive range as such but at the back of the building you can hit some balls off grass irons max, practice green is good, club house is what lets it down, stunning building the abbey and the clubhouse is stuck in the dinkiest room in it such a let down compared to other clubs around but as for the golf loved it, go a pub for a drink and better experience after your round unless its a sunny day then the outside terrace is a mustReviewer Rating

Course is in a lovely setting, and in very good condition although the greens are very inconsistent and it is hard to get any rhythm on them. But i do think it is overpriced,i have heard lots of good things about the course but did not find it that challenging or any memorable holes. That said i did enjoy it.

Well worth a visit

Beautiful condition
Course was in beautiful condition it’s a shame the clubhouse spaces and customer guidance is very poor and disjointed and very poorly maintained yet the course is outstanding so I guess you can’t have everything(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 91 Handicap: 14.8)

Great challenge

Good day in the sun

Vale Royal is a lovely track, and will get better with time given it still needs time to establish and mature. Stands up well to rain with good drainage. It doesn’t come close to the quality on offer at nearby Sandiway or Delamere; but those 2 aside, it’s as good as any other course in Cheshire

Immaculate
A quality golf course. Always in immaculate condition.There isn't a bad hole on this course, every hole has a little test or two to get you thinking.
As to a previous comment, I wouldn't call 4 blind drives too many!
Great reception in the shop & the clubhouse.
A MUST play course.
