Lovely Layout

Really like the layout at Ufford Park.
Really felt like there was so much variety. Par 3's from 120 to 220, Par 4's from 280 to 400+ and par 5's from 470 to 600.
Fairly forgiven from most tee's but some tighter shots thrown in too.

Condition of the course is excellent with the greens running perfectly.

Considering the traffic the course gets (hotel and spa on site so ideal for golf breaks) the greens team do an excellent job in maintaining the course.

Great track and would definitely return.

Excellent all round venue

Really interesting course with no two holes alike, attached to a very good quality hotel and leisure complex. Excellent practice facilities too.

It's quite hilly and there's a fair sprinkling of water hazards. The long holes are properly long and the shorter holes all need a great deal of thought. The par threes are very varied from 125 yards, down hill over water, to 200 yards.

Favourite hole? Probably the 15th which is real risk and reward. Not much over 200 yards if you take it on, but do you cut the corner and try to fly the water or lay up?

A good challenge for all levels.

Great course

Great course, played really well considering recent rain. Greens quick and true and a real test for all abilities.
Winter warmer deal is fantastic value for money! Clubhouse facilities are great, staff all really friendly and nothing is too much to ask.
Looking forward to a return summer visit.

Brilliant overnight find

Fantastic set up. The hotel is fabulous, rooms are clean and spacious. Dining was plentiful and delicious. Shop was well stocked. Practice facilities were brilliant and the course itself is a gem. Some quirky and tricky holes, short but very enjoyable and a good test. Plenty of water and established trees. An excellent overnight stay and very good value for money. Will definitely be going back.

Good hotel and course

This venue was our 'Club weekend away' for 2017, and we had about 40 attending, with most of us playing golf (6 or 8 non-golfers). The course seems to be well laid out, with holes varying between very shot and very long, e.g. I played 9 iron, wedge to a par 4, but their stroke index 1 was close to 600 yards, uphill and into the wind!!. Greens seemed quite slow, but I put that down to some rain we had making putting difficult. Quite a lot of water, especially in front of a few greens, and that makes it tricky if you're not playing well, or not confident with you game. I lost a lot of balls, but also found more than I lost, just not the ProV1's I'd been losing!!! Bunkers seemed reasonable, fairways and tees were looked after. Pin positions weren't moved in the 3 days we were there. The hotel didn't seem to be too busy, so we never had a problem meeting our tee times. Food was good and most people seemed to find the drinks they liked in the bars. I felt the restaurant was a little cramped for breakfast, which is probably my only gripe.

Worth a visit

A good course and facilities, let down by the poor standard of greens.
For August these were uneven and very slow. But the course itself is very good and a real challenge. Worth playing again.
