Could do better
This could be (and looks like it was) a lovely course. Reviews say it has been closed for refurb the last year, however I would say closed due to selling or bankruptcy & left to degrade. Two holes closed, pro shop non existent, fairways OK, greens like cricket Square. If given a lot of tlc then would be a great course. Having said all that, I played a blinder so course didn't affect my play & was fine for my ability.Reviewer Rating

I've played here quite a few times and I love the course but I am devastated that at the end of March it will be closing for refurb / changes to the course for a year! Going to miss that course

Although the ground was a bit hard the course played well. Not a long course but quite narrow fairways. Well Maintaines

Played after earlier heavy rain. Fairways and Greens very good. Bunkers not very good. If course did need improving it would have to be the bunkers

Quite challenging course(for a mid handicapper)with some interesting quirky holes and excellent greens. Friendly welcome and great value for money. Will definitely return

Challenging course. Plenty of scrub which you'll lose shots playing in too though

This was a spur of the moment booking and the Club were very receptive - when paying for the round we were presented with a £7.00 voucher to spend against food/drink after the round - a fantastic first!!!

played 3rd March course in good condition.only 3 temps.Trolleys and buggies allowed,not many course allow that, and some other local ones were closed.

Played today and found the course to be excellently maintained with superb greens and fairways, despite the amount of rain it had taken the week prior. A good fun and challenging course.

Good course, parkland but with gorse, very windy when we played added a level of challenge! On a charity day and food afterwards was very good

This is a course I have played several times. Never failed to enjoy a round on this rather tight and challenging course. The greens are great as are the bunkers but BEWARE THE GORSE BUSHES.
Only a very small negative, don't turn up in any bright colours. I was asked to remove what I considered to be a very understated Blue Adidas Rain Jacket because the stripes were of a orange colour. The guy in the club shop was insistent that this sort of attire would upset the members and that unless I had another top then I would not be allowed in the course.

This is a heathland golf course, near Woodbridge in Suffolk. Although not a long course, it represents an excellent challenge, due to its tight fairways and many gorse bushes. The greens are among the best anywhere in East Anglia. There is a well-stocked professional shop, the bar staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is very good.
