Not in the summer

In summer the fairways are terrible, bunkers not raked the morning we played. Greens good.

Course and fairways have suffered with the recent hot weather and lots of divots and bare holes on the course. We played pick and place . Greens are very good though and tough to read .

A good course spoiled by walkers

I have played this course lots of the years and as a test of golf it is great with some tricky greens to overcome once you reach them. However, the one real downside is that this course is on public land and therefore there are people lurking on nearly every hole. On the 2nd tee, I had just started my takeaway when someone starting walking across my path. The best bit was I didn't even get a thank you for stopping. You'll enjoy your golf, you won't enjoy having to wait for members of the public who don't have the same etiquette towards you as you do them.

Nice course

The odd rough edge and would be nice to see bunkers raked, even if rakes not provided. £20 for residents but £39 for visitors

Challenging track

Ufford Park is a well laid-out course with lots of water (12 holes out of 18) and challenging slopes. I found the front 9 significantly harder than the back 9 - I was out in 64 and back in 42 - perhaps not surprising as the second 9 is much shorter. Course in ok condition but a bit wet. Greens had just had fertiliser beads applied which made them a bit of a lottery. Would play again but would be better in spring/summer.

Underwhelming

Some picturesque short holes but also some rather non- descript holes. A rather cramped layout in parts. Avoid Tuesday morning as this is the men’s club day which was very slow. Greens were true but slow. Many of the fairways were suffering from lack of water and in mediocre condition. The staff were all welcoming and helpful. The course is part of a major leisure centre and the bars and eating facilities are common to both.

Worth a visit

A good course and facilities, let down by the poor standard of greens.
For August these were uneven and very slow. But the course itself is very good and a real challenge. Worth playing again.

Great course which was fairly well maintained. We were there for 3 days and the tee/pin positions weren't moved so made 4 rounds very samey.
Facilities were good and food was good although 2/3's of our party were ill, we believe from food which may have been the breakfast buffet.
Other than that it was very good!

Resort course, money spent on hotel, spa etc not on course which could be so much better with good green keeping attention. Beware 18th fairway, when paying second and third shots. Two tier driving range at side means you can easily get hit by balks being hooked or sliced over fence. We saw six balls land near us today - why isn't the fence higher? Great food and service in hotel.

Some tough holes followed by some straightforward ones means that it's a pretty fair test.
Patchy fairways and scruffy tees is what I took away from my round though - the greens were OK and I had no unwanted bobbles.
This course may look much better in the summer but to me it seemed like there had been too much play from 'hackers' who don't bother repairing their divots. A summer round may be more enjoyable.
